Hmm... so two things for today I've already done are:

-bleached some stained white work-shirts for Hubs... won't know if it worked until tonight...
-bought an area rug for the living room upstairs

I'm planning to stop at the bank on my way to a meeting in about an hour and re-deposit the leftover money I took out last week so I can have it there to pay extra on the bills on Friday. So that will be 3 things.

I think that's half my problem, I don't make my list until late morning, and by then I've done a bunch of things and running out of steam... by the time I get home, I don't wanna do any more!

    BUT:
This evening I would also like to:
-put music books up in Hubs' closet
-take apart and throw out the old piano bench (unsalvageable)
    -vacuum downstairs
    -clean the kitchen
-apply for my fishing license ($$)

    -and-
as always, wrestle with the never-ending pile of laundry...

the kids are going to help me with some of that, but they're also going to be getting their junk from here-and-there and putting in their (scary) bedrooms...

Amusingly enough, it's the two easiest-sounding things on the list that I didn't do! I never made it to the bank and when I tried to do my fishing license online, the system didn't like me.

I'm going to have to go to the bait shop near here to get my license in person, it looks like, so that is coming off the to-do list until I'm ready to actually go fishing... but the challenge says "do it in 24 hours" so I'm figuring if I hit the bank first thing tomorrow morning, I'm still good. ;D

    But:
-The kitchen is clean-- dishes, counters, floor mopped, everything!
-The kids picked up their junk and I mopped the hallway and the upstairs bathroom.
-The trash and the recycling went out, along with the old piano bench and the old door off the media cabinet I'm reworking
-The downstairs got picked up and vacuumed and then we took apart the vacuum and washed out all the pieces (it's bagless with reusable filters that need cleaning once in a while.)
-White shirts got dried and tossed in the sorting pile (that never gets sorted.) And washed and dried a second load that just finished... maybe I'll fold something in the morning just to say I did it. ;P
-And all the books of sheet music that used to be stored under the old (gone) console piano went up on the shelf in Hubs' closet. He won't be needing them until we get the upstairs piano restored anyway, so I want them out of the way, but I didn't feel like carrying them up to the attic, plus we do get squirrels up there sometimes, and he'd be upset if the books got eaten.

Bonus: packed DD5 a "trash free" lunch for her field trip tomorrow. Ugh! It was a requirement because they are going to a nature center... so instead of the usual "please send a lunch in a disposable bag" it was "don't sent anything that's trash because they don't have trash cans there..." But we managed it.

And because today was such a productive day, I'm TOTALLY taking it easy tomorrow:

    1. Snipe that item I'm watching on ebay right before it closes at around 9AM.
    2. Peruse the new ads for this weekend
    3. TBD
(and will probably fold a few clothes and drop that money at the bank, just so I can say I did it...)

    1. Again, make dinner before leaving for work
    2. Mop Kitchen Floor
    3. Mani/Pedi

So, the only thing I accomplished on the above To Do List is I trimmed nails and put on a clear coat of polish. Not what I invisioned when I listed Mani/Pedi DH and I decided we would have leftovers for dinner, but I changed that by stopping at the Taco place by our house on the way home from work. That was not on the list, frugal or good for the budget! I just did not feel like mopping the floor today. I ran out of time this morning and by the time my work day was over a mop was the last thing I wanted to deal with. LOL

    3/14/2013 To Do

    1. Mop Kitchen Floor (It won't go away until I do it)
    2. Pack For Weekend Adventure
    3. Go To Bank
