I only got as far as dishes and laundry yesterday. It took me an hour or so to assemble the cat's new tower. Today I will try to get something done. I just feel drained! I have Monday off so will try to do some things around here while everyone else is at school and work!

I just am not in the mood to do windows right now. So, I'm scratching that plan until after I get back from FL.
Instead, today I went through the summer clothes bin and tried on everything. put back what didn't fit me. Now washing what fits. I need to lose weight.
I'm also starting to pack for FL

Well I demolished the front entry, tore up floors, primed all surfaces. It's looking good!

    Time to fulfill this challenge...

Cleaned out a couple drawers in one my bedroom dresser (and there are many of them left). The sock drawer now is free of socks without its mate. Another drawer had and old jewelry box in it with a bunch of jewelry I probably bought at thrift sales.

Actually did get a lot done today and love using the timer. Tomorrow I have a lot to package and mail. Kitchen is looking good and bathroom is shining. Will finish up one spot on the shower wall. Realize that I would really like to get some ivory colored drapes for the bedroom for the summer.

Activity is picking up on our camping forum, the lake ice is finally groaning, the snow finally melted off the yard and camper, and we're burning out on Mom's moving project. I just want to go somewhere! Anywhere will do.

Oh, great, now I have a Jimmy Buffett song stuck in my head.

The movers are bringing Mom's big furniture today, including her huge antique hutch. My organizing today will be unpacking all the boxes of antique dishes into the hutch once it's there. Oh, and dropping off another box of our stuff at GW while we're in town. Not much, but something.

I'm just waiting for a phone call from Mom telling me the movers have left her town so we know when to go to her apartment to meet them. It won't be for a little while yet. It's hard to sit and wait.

And in a completely unrelated and off topic adventures with wildlife report, I just found out what's been eating up the suet balls we put out for the birds. A pine marten just showed up and checked out the empty suet feeder! They live around here, but we haven't seen one in a long time. They're pretty but sort of creepy because they are so bold they'll sit outside the windows and stare in right at us, maintaining eye contact. Still, it's fun to see them.

Guess I better put out another suet ball.

I miss the wildlife I could see from our old house. We lived in town but on the edge of it and our living room had large window towards the backyard which was a wooded area. I was always surprised by what I would see deer, turkeys, many types of birds, and a occasional skunk, weasel type animal, oppossum, raccoon etc. I don't miss the squirrels- they freaked me out (too many of them).
I really don't have a good picture window in this house. I guess in the warm months my sun room would be a good spot for bird feeders in the back. I'm putting this on my wish list for the next thrift store shopping.
My goal today is to work on cleaning/organizing 1/2 hour than sitting and searching the web for 15 minutes, then repeating. This is my day off. My first 1/2 hour I put away the dishes, and started purging my walk in closet. Now back to work.

2nd 1/2 hour cleaning spree over... I'm still working on the walk in closet. My dh just got back from work so will have him go thru his clothes now.

A dresser and the closet have been purged, large bag for goodwill, some old tshirts cut up for rags, winter clothes put in a covered bin to store (even though the ground is covered with snow again). Time to make lunch for dh and respite client.
