[QUOTE=Spirit Deer;4111637433]Kim, I wonder why the parks didn't charge entrance fees. MN state parks have day use fees to get in. I'm glad you had a good time! That really is a beautiful area.

We just got home from vacation yesterday, too[/QUOTE

Welcome back from your vacation Spirit Deer.
I think we may have just picked the right parks to drive into or many of the natural wonders could be seen or walked to from the road.

Time to get to work. Timer being set for 15 minutes, then 30, then 45 then 60. Want to get lots done today including grocery shopping and developing a tighter budget, after the housework done. Have a wonderful day everyone!!

I got the green contact paper on the kitty litter pails today, to cover up the blue pails and the printing on the pails. I just have to figure out what will go in them now, and put labels on them. I know one will be for dog stuff including dog snacks, and I'm hoping there'll be room in that one for our fleece hats and wool socks for cold weather camping, too. One pail will be for people snacks, one or more likely two for paper plates and other paper disposables. One will be for Tupperware we take from home that has to be kept separate so it gets back in the house when we get home. Not sure about the last one, but I'm sure I'll have more ideas of what to store in them than I have pails. Organizationally speaking, this new system is going to be huge from the standpoint of keeping the trailer neater and being better able to find things easier. Having the people snacks out of sight and off the counter is going to be a big help to me to help me keep from snacking too much. And having the snack tote off the counter will certainly reduce clutter. My goal in the trailer is to keep counters clear and get the amount of stuff that has to be shuffled every time we close the roofs down to an absolute minimum, and this will help with that, too. I'm excited!

I also put away all the stuff we bought at Walmart on our way home, so that's off the kitchen island. I repacked the Pop Tarts and granola bars to save space in the freezer. We only eat that stuff when we travel, so it all gets frozen. The eighteen-bar boxes of granola bars were almost half empty like usual, so I got 34 bars into the boxes without a problem. Ridiculous, but they want us to believe we're getting more than we actually are by putting stuff in oversize boxes.

    That's it so far.

I just had company leave so I am doing laundry right now. Got to do some work today though...as soon as I have a nap. I am exhausted from too little sleep last night.

Yesterday and today I have been terribly productive.

I added air to the tire in my car. This was a first for me as I'm not usually that kind of hands-on person when it comes to fixing stuff.

I did two projects for a local organization I belong to - ordered pens and created an ad for the local newspaper.

    I researched health insurance options.

I applied for a job online.

I figured out how to import all of my contacts from work onto my computer/phone/iPad.

I went through a lot of email and unsubscribed from a lot of lists.

I listed some things for sale on local FB sites.

I now have most of our back to school shopping done.

I've done probably 8 loads of laundry from our camping trip. Everything smells like campfire. I'm also currently soaking pans in the sink that have campfire burnt on them.

    I've cleaned out the fridge.

I am currently running the oven on self-cleaning cycle.

    I filled the bird feeder.

I looked up a lot of museums that I'd like to visit. I found 3 of them that are offering free admission days, and put those on the calendar.

Yesterday my cleaning lady came and vacuumed the house.

    Also deep cleaned the bathroom.

Finished a deep clean of a kitchen cupboard, and put down more contact paper over the old that we couldn't get out. Looks nice in there now.

Also dusted and cleaned the top of the china cabinet.

I ended up giving her a tea set my mother had bought and never used. I hate the looks of it, so am glad it is gone. And gave her an old pasta maker we had given to us by my DD#1 who found it in her apartment when she moved in. That thing is making the rounds!

Cleaning lady also finished cleaning the interior windows, and DH, bless his soul, did the outside windows.

I spent time sorting out my in box on the phone counter, and cleaning off the phone counter. Looks much nicer now. Won't last for long, but maybe a couple weeks or so.

Went grocery shopping this morning, and did banking.

Time for me to renew this thread.
I know Spring doesn't officially start until March 20, but I want most of my indoor Spring cleaning to be done before the warmer temperatures hit Wisconsin. Once it warms up I want to be outside soaking in the sun, breathing in the fresh air, listening to the birds, taking walks in the parks, maybe growing some tomato plants etc.

    I'll start in the kitchen.

I starting pulling things out of my bedroom closet - it was a disaster.
It's going kind of slow and my bedroom looks like a tornado came thru, but I'm making progress.
Goodwill and Salvation Army will get several loads when I'm done.

    Started spring cleaning today:

Emptied, sorted, culled and cleaned the
    white 4 shelf food cabinet on the left side;

3 sacks of food for dh,
9 sacks for the local church that
    feed the homeless weekly.

Few sacks went to trash, but not
as much as I thought would go.
