The last few days have been so busy I haven't even had time to write my to-do lists!

But I got a lot accomplished... not killing my officemate really topping that list... man he something else! But Yay it's the weekend now!

So today I checked my coupons and did "big shop" for the month-- not really all that big, not much on the list so I took the chance to stock up on things that were a good deal.

Dropped some empty toner cartridges at Staples to get store credit (won't drop til mid Sept, though.)

Got some prices adjusted at Target for their toy clearance, and of course bought MORE crap...

Entered all my coke codes that have been piling up

Entered some McD's codes, but maxxed out and have to finish tomorrow

    Tomorrow:
    - Drop Hubs' car off at Best Buy to get the new radio installed ($$$, that boy!!!)
    - Take the kids to the Peach Festival
    - Survive a visit with my parents
    - Take the kids to the beach (may combine with the parent visit so it is more fun for everyone)
    - Laundry and dishes, of course
    - Try to escape to get my toes done--they are looking like something from Elm Street..
    - Color my hair (which I should have done tonight, but didn't)
    - Wrap the toys from Target before the brats peek
    - Downstairs needs vacuuming, again, always...

Long list, but mostly fun or painless stuff, should be do-able.

Didn't get everything done today. That's okay because the house is looking pretty good. Tomorrow I'm going to relax, so I'm only going to list basic chores. Exercise is a big challenge for me right now, so I'm going to list it every day. My goal is 30 minutes a day.

    1. Make beds
    2. Clean dishes
    3. Exercise

So out of my long list for today... we took the car in and got the radio installed. That's it.

The weather did not cooperate for any of our outdoor plans, and DD9 woke up "off." Between that, the girls' disappointment over outdoor activities being cancelled, and Hubs deciding to just needle me for no good reason, I was in shut-down mode or most of the day. I'm pretty pissed off at him. I really needed to get stuff done today and I didn't need to be 3-prong-harrassed first thing in the morning. Anybody else just go into a coma when they're stressed? The doctor told me last week that it's Flight-or-Fight-or-FREEZE and that I fall in the third group-- aka deer in the headlights. Uncool. I have too much to do to "freeze up." Ever.

But on the way home from dropping the car off, I stopped in at our neighbor's farmstand-- they grow the most wonderful tomatoes-- and we got a big cantaloupe, too.

Hubs walked DD6 to the library (between the rainstorms--it's only two blocks) to claim her reading program prize for meeting her goal-- I stayed home with DD9 who was just-post-tantrum and resting in her bed... she didn't finish a single age-appropriate book during the program and did not earn a prize, so it is better that she stayed home anyway.

In the afternoon when the car was ready, I dropped Hubs back at Best Buy and took the girls to see Smurfs 2-- they've been waiting since the preview started last friggin' Christmas, and it was something fun that was out of the house... so that was something, at least.

And after the movie we went to Claire's for a treat, and since they were having the 10/$10 sale, I loaded up on hair things for the school year (23 days!) and also some things will get tucked away for stocking stuffers.

So the day was not a TOTAL waste, but certainly more commercial and less frugal than I'd planned, not to mention nothing got cleaned...

    Tomorrow:
    - visit the aquarium to see the new exhibit (this is on the summer must-do list, so glad to be checking that off)
    - visit with my parents who didn't come today
    - wrap and put away those presents, as well as some stocking stuffers I picked up at Claire's
    - get the dishes and laundry I didn't get today
    - work on organizing all the nice new hair stuff the girls got
    - still need to color my hair-- not hopeful about the nails, though, a lot of places are closed on Sunday and we'll be busy until evening

Weekends are NOT supposed to be stressful. WTH????

Zhoen, I can relate. When I stress I freeze. I'm really working to change that, but it's so much easier to go into my cocoon and just do nothing.

Today we're headed to the movies. When I get back I'm going to finish doing the dishes and do tons of laundry. I need to fit in exercise somewhere.

boy was I on a roll,

    Sat.
4 loads laundry washed, hung outside
1 load washed and in dryer
    vaccumed
    dishwasher loaded
    kitchen cleaned up
    dresser cleaned off
then the weather hit, funnel clouds, tornados coming down all around us.. talk about freezing in my tracks!! Talk about stressful!! All we got was a downpour of rain and wind about 80mph. tree branches and leaves down on the ground, but at least no trees went down.

Zhoen, do the same thing here, freeze, hope today is better for you.

I'm off to read the paper and have a huge cup of coffee, enjoy your day!!

I need to cut hole in the end of camper dinette in order to install clothing shelves there.

After I recover from the trauma of doing that, then I need to sort out some extension cords and adapters for the camper, so we finally know what we have.

Then I need to pack up all the fresh water tools into the bucket I washed up for that purpose yesterday, and get that back into the camper too.
