hmm... call that about 2.5/3... Dishes got clean, but the kitchen didn't get really "cleaned"

The window, it turned out, needed to be painted before I could shrink-wrap it. It would have driven me nuts looking at it messed up behind the shrinkwrap all winter and not being able to do anything about it.

Today I got to work, found out the staff meeting was postponed, and decided to take the day off So:

-- Bought a new bed (to be delivered Monday...) You guys should be ashamed of me... I didn't buy online or through ebates or anything... it was "50% off" but aren't beds always?
    --got a pedicure
--returned a couple things to AC Moore, and didn't buy anything...

    Tomorrow:

    TBD

    Hiya Pinetree,

Nope, they aren't delivering it until Monday, so that gives us the weekend to get everything as neat as possible (HAH,) to freecycle the old headboard, and also to pick out new linens. Don't be jealous, our old one is the one we got when we got married, so it's about 17 years old--we've been talking about replacing it FOREVER.

So there's this old joke, "Before marriage, it feels so cozy snuggling together in your twin-size bed-- after marriage, a California King seems as narrow as an army cot." So yeah, after 17 1/2 years, we're moving up to a King size ($10 says he still hogs the center), which is why we need the new linens. I found a set I like at BBB, but have to scrounge up a coupon if we're going to get that one. Otherwise, have the weekend to peruse Kohl's and Penney's and all the usual suspects.

The new frame/headboard will be a later-thing... I have no idea what I'm looking for in that, and I don't want to rush in and get something I'll regret. It took me 3 years to choose the first one!

Anyway, already did way more than 3 things today, but will hopefully will have the energy to do more. I made a big "before the end of the weekend" list and am just crossing things off as I can...

    Let's see... tonight I'll:
    run the dishwasher/scrub the pans
    hang the bathroom mirrors
clean either the kitchen or one of the bathrooms...
In times like these, it helps to recall there have always been times like these.

3 for 3 on Wednesday. Today (Thursday) I helped DH with some little chores around the house. I am very very skilled at holding ladders, plugging in power drills, holding screws and nails till they are needed, and fetching iced tea for DH.

    For Friday:

    1) Take cat to vet for steroid shot
    2) Go through another box of parents' stuff and decide what to do with contents
    3) Do 3 errands on the other side of the county
