Yesterday did get the bathroom cleaned and took the girls to mini-golf. Also went to Kohl's and used the Kohlscash from buying my bed linens last week to buy SIL an infinity scarf she wanted for Christmas (love free stuff!!!) Didn't get the TV room cleaned up and so now we are two episodes behind again... oh well... I did get a bunch more yard work done-- mowed up about 7 bags of leaves from the back yard... then we had a big storm last night which blew a bunch more down... of course. Not grumpy about it actually... that's just the way it works around here...

Today: Called out from work because the storm kept me awake-- no way could I deal with PitA co-worker today!!!

-watch that movie we didn't get to watch the other night
    -spend time with Hubs sans-kids
    -drink a bunch of tea

ok, ok, that's not the right type of to-do list... fine... also:
    - sort all the laundry out and get it put away
    - make sure all the leaves and trash make it to the curb
    - vacuum living room and family room

Now, to get cracking on that tea...

    last weekend
    changed sheets
washed, dried and back on bed
    ran and put away dishwasher
    cleaned up kitchen table
cleaned up and put away canning stuff

    monday
    pay rest of bills
    order vacuum bags
    laundry

Zhoen does you dump charge you a fee, we called our dump 2 weeks ago and they said $50 for a load that did not come over the top of the bed on the truck, we decided against it.
What do you mean thats not the right kind of to do list? Thats pretty much what I did this weekend. lol
You can have all my leaves, the wind blows them all out, then turns around and blows more back in. Most of our trees are naked now, so maybe we can get ahead of them.

    Welcome Ayanka

Ilovechocolate, hope you are feeling better.

I got 3 out of 4 done ( I outsourced the cooking to my BF grins), but I did post the letter that has been lying on the table since friday.

    To do list for tuesday:
    1. Go to 'Permeke' and get my paperwork done and my books back to the library and get new ones.
    2. Do the weekly grocery shopping.
    3. Cook the evening meal and serve the cichory with it.
    4. Do the laundry.
    5. Clean one of the grids of the oven.
    6. Repair 'big bear'.
    7. Make fruit salad.

I will start working on this tonight, so that is why the list is so long.

@ Pinetree: the reason I am doing them one rack at a time is cause even that is going to take a couple of hours... Im renting the appartment I am living in and the person who lived here before had a whole different standard of clean. And mine isn't very high already... Glad to have been inspirational though

For the meal planning: could you build up your menu around the sales? Eg: hamburgers are on sale, so I am making hamburgers tonight. Wok vegetables and chicken are on sale, so Thursday its wok. I still have ham and plenty of pasta, so friday its mac and cheese. (Thursday and Friday had to be easy recipes as my BF will be cooking then). I just look on what I need to use up in combination with sales and then plan the rest of the week so that I get as much different things during the week. Anything more complicated would probably get lost on me, cause A I don't have a lot of time to go shopping B I work in shifts, so I just don't have a lot of time some nights C coupons don't exist inhere and sales generally only go for a week, so it requires some extra planning to build them in.

Pinetree, nope our dump doesn't charge for county residents up to a certain weight-limit, and even then, there are two entrances... if you go to the "residents" side, they don't charge at all, but you can only dump recycling and small things (stuff you can lift, essentially.) For bigger things, like a couch, you go through the other side, they take all your information and weigh your vehicle going in, then same thing going out. I've never brought so much to that side that they've ever charged for it.

Our facility is really very good about recycling, they have all kinds of different collection points through the facility, and so not that much ends up in the "trash." And if you go to the residential side it's all clean and pretty and organized... very yuppy. ;P Even on the other side, they put down lots of mulch (from all the branches people drop off) so that you don't have to drive your pretty car on the filth, and so the piles of trash smell "piney-fresh" teehee!!!

    Yesterday, 3.5/6
Didn't drink tea, didn't vacuum, and the laundry is only half done (but still, big improvement!)
But did run the mower over the FRONT and added those bags to the curb. We have a wonderful assortment of trees here... the upside of that is that they don't drop all at once, so it's not two-feet-deep ... the downside is, as fast as you clean up, they're still falling for weeks and weeks...

    Today:
vacuum kids' room and living room
try to unearth enough of the family room to vacuum
work on the laundry a little more

Hubs is on a 24, so it's just me and the girls tonight, so all of that is subject to homework loads, behavior, and energy levels...

1/3 ugh, printed some more coupons, and thats about it. Looked online all day for lampshades, what a pain in the ear..... finally found some, yep, walmart.. should have known. Also cooking a small turkey to debone and freeze so it saves freezer space.

Our dump here is nothing like that, they charge 50 bucks for a car to go in with a trash sack.

My menu, I don't think I can plan that way, we buy beef by the half, When I buy chicken on sale, I usually buy 20-40 lbs, freeze it in food saver bags, so almost everything I have is frozen. We only go to town every two weeks or so. The other problem we are having is no one really is hungy for anything, so we are kinda stuck on the same things over and over....Thanks for the ideas, maybe I can think about it and come up with some kind of plan. This probably doesn't make any sense to anyone.

ilovechocolate and maui, so glad to hear you are feeling better!!

Wed, hump day!! yipee 1/2 way thru the week!!
    get birthday cards
    debone the turkey
    find recipies for Thanksgiving salads
