Hmm... my last post went "poof." Oh well...

    Today I:
    - got a new faucet and nagged Hubs into installing it (the old one broke and we tried to repair it, but no dice)
    - got the kids to clean up the family room
    - watched Despicable Me 2 with them as a reward
    - returned the DVD to redbox so I didn't get charged for an extra day
    - got them to lay out their clothes for tomorrow
    - got Hubs to help me get the 2-person things up into the attic (already did the ones I could do by myself)
    - got all those can I bought last week stored neatly away

    Tomorrow (Monday):
    - clean the kitchen (now that I have a working faucet again)
    - clear the mess from the entryway
    - put away/organize all that pasta I bought last week

And a fourth one I'm adding (because someone said it last year but I never had time before now):
    - "Something for myself."

    Again didn't do the vacuuming...

    For today:

    1. Do the vacuuming.
    2. Go and pick up my cards.
    3. Go grocery shopping.
    4. Go to my mum and deliver the stuff I borrowed/didn't want from my Christmas package.

I'm going to stop typing "do a load of laundry" and "do a load of dishes" as these are things I would(or should) normally do every day.

    For today, 1/13

    1. Finish putting all of the Christmas stuff into the garage
    2. Read part of a book, a real one, with pages and more words than pictures.
    3. sweep and mop the kitchen floor

Well, 6/4, with my "something for myself" being that I went and got my eyebrows waxed and got a pedicure.

Pasta is put away neatly with the new stuff at the back and the stuff we already had at the front...
Kitchen is clean (the cabinet faces need a good thorough cleaning, but that's not happening today...)
and the landing is clear (but could use a sweep-off)
second-to-last load of laundry is in the wash right now, and house smells all home-y like detergent (so there's a plus-one)
and I swept the hallway upstairs (plus two)

Good thing I started first-thing today, though, because when I called DD10's dr to find out when her appt this week is... yeah... it's TODAY... at 4...

    So, four more to-dos:
    - get a shower before the bus comes
    - set up the bread machine on a timer for dinner
    - take DD10 to her dr appt a billion miles away...
    - stop in at Weis while we're out that way for the $.67/can Chef Boyardee loss leader

When do we get to the part when I get to sit on the couch looking glamorous and eating bonbons?

Laundry but dryer is not cooperating. Has taken 3 restarts to dry ugh.

We have no heat here, furnace is broken. Keeping warm with 2 space heaters until we can get repair guy out here tomorrow. Yesterday or today would have been way extra charge so we tried a few things first. Didn't work. Double ugh.

I figured out dryer, the tube from back to outside was bent. Now it dries fine, so catching up on drying, as I washed everything yesterday. Repair guy got here at 7am, looked at it, turned it on and it shot smoke ALL through the house. I kept windows open 3 hours, with fans going. Kept daycare kids in one room with space heater, one that did not smell ( thank goodness!) and finally shut most windows. My kids rooms upstairs and the main floor bathroom still smell 6 hours later. SO motor and another part were shot. I chose to just replace the whole furnace. I am not happy, but makes no sense to pay almost $600 for parts/labor when a new one is about $1500. He couldn't tell me exactly how old it is but he thinks over 40 years old. I have been here 10 years, and its never heated right! AND got electric/gas bill yesterday and it was $500 for last month!!! Most it has EVER been. Feels like all my good doing this month of not spending/etc, has all gone to waste. I do have the money in my checking, which I was waiting to pay some of my credit card, but nope.

So today, goal is to finish laundry, garlic chicken breasts in crock pot, air rest of rooms out, get new heater tonight, and go to bed early.
