    So for Wednesday:

    1) Use up those bananas
    2) Finish tables and desk in den
    3) Mop kitchen and breakfast room

3/3 today, though I may have overdone things a bit. I was so happy to be moving around!

    Tomorrow:

    1. Scrub and bleach kitchen counters. This should have been done last week.
    2. Sort the pile of clothes in my bedroom. I was given a lot of stuff, but some of it isn't my size, so it moves on.
    3. Scrub shower walls.

There's so much that didn't get done in the last week. I just have to keep plugging away at it.

    Have a wonderful day, everybody!

    Jen

pinetree, the last several evenings we've had storms but only for a short time. And they've brought a good bit of rain. Now that the pine trees in the yard are gone, the storms don't make us quite as nervous as they used to.

Jen, I had gout once in my knee. Boy, did it hurt. I hope yours goes away soon.

    Didn't get mopping done yesterday.

    For Thursday:

    1) Errands with DH DONE
    2) Meat into freezer DONE
    3) Work on finances prior to bill paying next Tuesday

Hi guys! Hugs to you all who are under the weather and high-fives for everything you've all been getting done in spite of it!

The girls are out for summer vacation now, so not only do they hog the computers by day, but I'm with them 24/7 and out of energy by the time they crash. No complaints, it's WONDERFUL... but it makes it hard to keep up with everything else. This week has been "Viking Week" and we have been studying the Vikings, comparing what we've learned against what we see in popular media (read as--we watched both How to Train your Dragon movies and both Thor movies and discussed the similarities and differences from historical fact.) It's been fun. We made Norwegian rye bread today that reinforced my biases against all Norwegian foods...

But as good a week as it was, we just came home from a birthday party for one of DD7's school classmates. It was about as horrendous as expected... Amazing how just a few hours around conspicuous consumers can have me thinking the whole way home that I should just chuck everything I am and believe in and lose 70lbs, win marathons, dress designer, buy everything new and shiny and basically jump back into the American nightmare... I'm better now, I'm home, the doors are locked against "them", and the tequila I just chugged is kicking in.

    To-do:

    Tonight:
    Chill the F out.

    Friday:
-Take the girls to the concert at the library
    -Finish our model longboat
-clean the bathrooms like we should have done today and didn't
    -clean the TV room
-finish up our Viking topic materials
-keep researching for next week ("Patriot" week... ugg!)

At any rate... I definitely need to be better about checking into the village... got the bills from the last of the wedding spending, got the emotional baggage from being surrounded by the "normals" at the party tonight... ugg...

Z, I feel your pain. Even at my age (59) I still can get really green with envy at some of the houses, etc., of people we know. And then I remind myself that we have everything we need and some of what we want and we are healthy and loved by God and then I feel lots better. DH used to mention that a lot of his customers seemed to have it all, but when he saw their financial records so many of them were way in debt, had bill collectors calling, etc. That's something we've never had, because we CHOSE to live the way we do. It's really sort of empowering when I would think of it that way.

Didn't get financial stuff done yesterday.

    So for Friday:

    1) Finances
    2) Mop kitchen and breakfast room
    3) Go through books in our bedroom and decide what to keep, donate, sell

Kinda slow today, slept 12 1/2 hours, I am hoping I got caught up alittle. Been waking up at 2:00 and cant get back to sleep, so woke up at 3 yesterday and stayed up, went to bed at 8:30 last night, and pretty much slept all night. Maybe my headaches will stop now. I tried to keep busy so I wouldnt fall asleep and got alot done.

Dried 10 lbs carrots, 2 racks of spinach, 3 loads laundry, ran and put away dishwasher, cooked deboned and froze 15 lbs of chicken legs, etc.. today I am going to work on my huge order.

ilc, good to hear you are just getting rain, kinda sad to hear about your trees, lol.

Z, tequilla is my favorite, I stay away from it as much as possible,, it really is my favorite!!lol
sorry to hear the party got you thinking, but you are doing such a good job, have a great time with your girls!

Hey, did you hear about the bees and plants from HD, Lowes, walmart? they are spraying their plants and it maybe why the bees are dying. It was on the news here yesterday. How are they doing?
I let some radishes go to seed and the bees are just loving them!

Jen hope you are doing better today!

Oops, forgot to post yesterday. I did 3/3. Today was kind of a bust, but I really need to go shopping tomorrow. My list is weird, though. I need Vodka, bird food, and pickling spice. My mint and lemon balm are out of control, so I need to make extract and bug spray<-vodka. My pickle cucumbers are really coming on, so I need the stuff ready for them, and my parrot needs to stay healthy, so I need to feed him something other than my dinner. I truly hate the odds & ends type of shopping lists! All that driving around. On a brighter note, My foot is almost completely back to normal, so I'm not really limping around anymore.

I know DH has a few plans this weekend, so I'll help him, but I am definitely taking some time to get my things done.

    Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

    Jen
