    3/3

    Tues
    make meatballs for freezer
chop up some meat for stew
    clean out fridge

Zhoen, I have tried cardboard, I have it under the cherry tree grove, Big boxes, the problem is the ends curl up and it just looks really bad, humidity here is around nothing most of the time, wonder if thats part of the problem? Also have put down several layers of newspapers, wet them down, the mulched it and the paper curl and shrivel up.. thats why this time we just laid down about 6 inches of mulch, and will spot spray if needed.

We do lay down soaker hoses and then mulch for the gardens, we have found here we need to turn them on every other day.. We also have to water the lawn 2-3 times per week when its hot out, I know some states dont water at all...

I would Not try the bottles of water either, those mosquito's would have them full in a second. DS was really sick from west nile a couple years ago so we are careful not to have breeding grounds around for them. Had a friend lose a horse last year from west nile.

Guess I can't call you the garden lady much longer huh?!

Hey there was a story on the news tonight about, well a subject that I really like to hear about,,,, bees!! Bee keepers are picking up of bees everywhere, I guess the hives are splitting, and the queens are setting up new homes in trees or anywhere they can find, so if you see bees call the beekeepers and they will come get them for you.. they are So busy you have to leave a message!!
Sounds good, maybe the bees are making a come back.

Didn't mean to write a book, Hi everyone, Have a great day!!

0/3 again. I don't know why, but I am deep into a flare. So much pain. I think I'll wing it tomorrow and just do what I can.

    Have a great day, everybody!

Oh goodness, Jen and MM!!! Hope you both are "feelin' yer oats" again soon...

Well, I was about 2 out of however-many today... did get the stuff to the dump and did go thrift shopping, but that second one took up the whole day until the kids got home, then we made a fancy dinner and called it a night. Didn't clean out the car, didn't get my glasses fixed, didn't work in the yard at all... but did find some clothes to take to Texas, some things for DD6's birthday next week (she already got her "big" presents of a new bike and guitar, but these are just some little things)

    Wednesday:
5 hours at the garden center
    sort clothes
wrap Christmas presents I bought today...

Hang in there Jen - must take care of yourself first.

Actually Zhoen, I think your list was wrong. Looks to me that you accomplished a lot!

I survived so consider my day a success! Have declared tomorrow a day for me to do whatever I want.....

    Wednesday

    1. Pool time
    2. Call Medicare
    3. Call Peige
    4. Putter around the LR all I want

Well, change of plans. DD10's behavioral symptoms were through the roof yesterday, manifesting as anxiety, school avoidance, and a sobbing fear of letting go of Mommy... but I tricked her into getting into the car and physically carried her into the school yesterday. Well, she was just as bad/worse this morning, and no way was she falling for it two days in a row... so I just called the nursery and told them I wasn't coming in, and my day will now be played by ear. Right now she's doing alright, but she turns on a dime when she's like this, and, honestly, I'm already exhausted from this morning. :/

But we got the dishes all washed, even the hand-wash china from last night is done and drying on a towel. So here is my amended list, all of it dependent on how DD10 is...

    -kitchen floors and counters
    -run laundry
    -sort clothes
    -wrap presents
    -buy rabbit food
    - naps for both of us!!!

I'm so tempted to start with that last one first! Have a great day, guys!

Pinetree, Zakity was just saying on a different thread that she caught a wild swarm yesterday! This time of year the queens lay overtime to build up their hives, and if things go well and the population gets big enough, then the colony will grow a new queen, and the old queen will fly away with a swarm and leave half the colony behind with her baby daughter. From what I've read, it's pretty common this time of year, and there are all kinds of beekeepers advertising that they will come remove honeybee swarms for free. For the beekeepers, it's a way to get a free colony ($100+ per colony if you buy them), and it's safer for the bees, since otherwise people might destroy them, not to mention life in the wild is a bit harder than in a cush hive... On the downside, most people don't know the difference between a honey bee, a yellowjacket, wasp, etc... so a lot of beekeepers drive out hoping to catch a swarm and instead find themselves dealing with other sting-y bugs and people that are mad that they won't remove hornets for free...

Jen, hope you are feeling better

mauimagic, continue being kind to yourself. (A hard thing to learn to do, I know)
    adn
Z---I am learning so much about bees from you. DH and I have discussed beekeeping but that would be down the road a bit, not a good time to start it, but someday maybe.

pinetree, we just love our porch so much. It's nothing fancy but it's comfortable and we can use it except on the hottest or coldest days.

    For Wednesday:

    1) Puppy to vet for shots
    2) Vacuum/clean downstairs
    3) Organize donations to various charities

Well, no numbers today, but I did get the dusting done and a little bit of mending. Had to take pain meds today(I hate that). Hopefully tomorrow is better, but it will still be an easy list.

    Tomorrow:

    1. Take Hubby to work(his car is in the shop)
    2. Take insurance card to garage, Hubby thought it was in the glove box, but it was sitting on his desk.
    3. clean off DR table. It seems to be my biggest catch all spot.

Have a wonder filled day, everyone!

2/3 today. Still too much pain to actually do anything, so the DR table didn't get done. I'm probably not going to get much done tomorrow, either...but I am going to try!

    Tomorrow:

    1. Work on craft stuff. It needs to be purged and I can sit down to do most of it.
    2. Clean off dining room table.
    3. File medical stuff in 2015 tax folder.
    4. Look on the bright side...things could be a lot worse.

Hopefully it will all get done. Have a great day, everyone!
