Well, we begin another week. It's so cold and windy here that all the schools are already announcing delays for Monday! I'm not going anywhere tomorrow unless it's an emergency! I'm keeping the list easy for tomorrow and the next few days. My Fibro is really bad when the weather is unsettled, and it's hard to do anything strenuous. I really can't wait until summer! It's so much easier on me.

    Tomorrow:

    1. One load of laundry.
    2. Set up sewing machine, and get some mending done.
    3. Shell and freeze some nuts that are getting old. I'll use them in quick breads.

Have a wonderful day, Everyone! Stay safe and warm!

    Jen

pinetree, you take as many lazy days as you need to so you can get well.

I wish we would get some snow---not much, maybe just for a day or two. We've had none this year. As a result, we go nuts when it does snow.

piney, where are you? I haven't seen any postings from you in a few days.

Jen, hope you feel better soon.

    For Monday:

    1) Finish putting away clean laundry 1/2 DONE
    2) Change Sadie's vet appointment from today to tomorrow DONE
    3) Mop
    4) Change sheets on our bed DONE
    5) Clean off the top of my desk
    6) Record recent expenditures

    Stay warm, everyone.

Pinetree, I'll keep the faith that you get good news tomorrow.

The ta-done for today is seeing four more houses. We came home feeling great about what we already own and deciding maybe we don't need a winter home after all. We're hoping we can find someone who is able to plow our driveway here once it's graded again. Then winter would be much less of a problem for us. We can pay someone to plow a whole bunch of times for a whole bunch of years for what a winter home would cost. At any rate, I think we've put the house hunting behind us for a while.

Now I'm cold from touring a house where the heat was off. And tired from laying awake nights thinking about the problems created from owning two houses.

Now I feel like sewing something, but I don't know what.

0/3 today. Couldn't even sit for very long before it hurt. Had to take pain meds...I hate those! I think I'll just bag the list for a day or two. Winter like this is just too hard to deal with.

It's snowing right now, and we're supposed to get about 5". I hope that's all there is. The high temp today was 16. Low was -6. We never get temps like that!

Have a great day, Everyone! Stay safe and warm.

Today I have to wash dishes. No, seriously. How the heck to we run out of forks and spoons so dang quick when we have millions?

I also need to start organizing my WW recipe book. I'm going to copy the ones I use the most so they're handy and don't have pics of tasty foods to tempt me as I page through looking for recipes. So I'm going to copy at least four recipes today onto cards and start setting up a blank recipe book I have. I found some photo page refills at GW for cheap last week and I've already cut them down to fit in the binder, so I'm semi-started already.

    So today's to-do will be:

    1. Track my food. Every bite. Test out the little notepad idea for temporary tracking, then transfer what I tracked to my online tracker, so FOOD DOESN'T GET FORGOTTEN. Very important. Not tracking = lying to myself.

    2. Do one load of dishes in the dishwasher and another load stacked in the dish drainer.

    3. Copy four recipes for the WW binder.

    4. Start a list of things that annoy me about our house and think about what can be done about them.

    5. Do twenty minutes of some kind of exercise.

    Ta-done:

I dug out an antique crock I have that's cracked. I don't think it leaks, but I never use it. I'm going to switch it out with the wine bucket I have been using for kitchen utensils by my stove. The crock has straight sides and the bucket is tapered at the bottom, so the crock will hold more in the same space which will be a good thing.

pinetree, let us know how the test went today.

Sounds like this cold weather is doing a number on lots of us here at FV. Try to stay warm, everybody, and do what you have to do to feel okay.

I didn't mop yesterday---it was raining, and DH and dogs were in and out, so why bother!

    For Tuesday:

    1) Sadie's vet appointment 10:30
    2) Get shopping lists together for errands later in the week
    3) Menu plan for this week
    4) Check big freezer for pork loin that I think is in there somewhere
    5) Mop
    6) Work with DH on finances

I need to come out of hibernation mode. The cold temperatures make me want to snuggle down and not move for days on end! The high today is 14*.

    Today's list:

    1) Chiropractor appointment
    2) Fold laundry
    3) Make pork buns for dinner

Bonus task: Shop for clearance bras to donate to Free the Girls. This organization helps women escape from human trafficking. The women accept new or gently used bras and resell them to other women. I've heard that overseas, the used clothing market is a big industry. So, my daughter and I are going to head to Kohl's clearance rack with my 30% off coupon and get as many bras as we can carry.

    Have a good day, everyone!

    Kind regards,

    Sally
