0/3 today. I woke up with hubby's virus. Sore throat, earache and sinus pain and congestion. It sucks! The way I feel, tomorrow will be a bust, too.

Have a lovely day , Everyone!

Jen, ilc - hope you both are feeling better

pinetree - yes, you will have to let me know how the cream cheese crust comes out. What are the odds of your FIL and fathers B-day being on the same day?! Hope you have some great memories come to mind today. You must be feeling better because I have been looking at your lists and you are getting a lot done. Just don't overdo it.

I had a long post yesterday and then my laptop froze up so it was lost. Didn't have the energy to re-do it! It was just me rambling on about spring, country living, mud and cleaning off 5 dogs before they come in my house.

    Friday
1 - find buckle collar for beastie (done) Why are non leather buckle collars so hard to find?
2 - drop car off at mechanics
3 - clean out woodstove, make fire (done) It is snowing today.

    Saturday
1 - do a run through on house
    2 - make burritos
3 - work on cleaning off desk

RABBIT--snow? WOW! It's the last gasp of winter here---low 50s today, 30 tonight, but then next week we'll have temps in the 70s.

pinetree, you sound good! Hope your memories of your dad and dad-in-law were wonderful. My Daddy would have turned 89 on Groundhog Day. March 23 was the 20th anniversary of my father-in-law's death.

Jen, hope you are feeling better.

I feel better---not great, but better. Headache and some body aches but no fever. I can't take NSAIDs like Advil or Aleve and Tylenol does nothing for me so I've been trying to sleep as much as possible. And my house shows it.

    For Saturday:

    1) General resetting of downstairs
    2) Some laundry
    3) Grocery list for tomorrow after church
    4) Sweep off screened porch
    5) Mop

    Have a happy day, ladies.

    Jen, feel better soon!

RABBIT, I know its weird both were born on the same day, My Dad passed 23 yrs ago on Good Friday, It's been along time, but seems like yesterday.
I will let you know about the crust!

Ilc, sleep is what you need, like you told me, the house work will be there tomorrow, and ya know what? It really is!! lol

I have millions of good memories about both of them, I hope I never lose that.

FW, gald to hear your Mom is doing good. you are finding alot of deals!

The kids are making pulled pork today, can't wait for dinner, love their new smoker..
think I over did it alittle, going to slow down today, sometimes I think I am trying too hard to feel better.

    Sat
    make baked beans
    cut up pineapple if ripe
load of laundry, DH will hang outside

    Have a wonderful weekend!

I hope everyone who isn't feeling up to par gets over it all soon. Seems like people get sick in spring or maybe it just seems worse at this time of year.

I'm excited today because we bought another entertainment center. No, we're not really crazy. I've been looking for something to use for a linen cabinet and space for HBAs and stuff in the master bath for years, but it's an odd size space and I finally gave up on finding anything. But today, we did! It's a custom piece that fits the space perfectly with just 1/4" left on either side, made of top quality materials by a well-known local craftsman. The price was reasonable at $125, and I'm so happy we were able to get it. It needs light cleaning, a couple of shelves removed, maybe some paint inside, some sheet vinyl added to the shelves, and then all the stuff that was on the old wire shelves in that space has to be sorted and organized. So this will be something of a project, but not nearly as bad as building a cabinet for that space, which I was planning to do. I still can't believe it's here and it fits and even matches the woodwork in the rest of the house. How lucky can we be?

    made Dh and apple pie
made a gallon of lemon tea for the week.
Finally got the other school table in and cleaned
Got the small appliances set up.
    Table 1
    -coffee maker
    -bread maker
-rice maker -and a milk shake machine of dubious import in the corner
    Table 2
    -kitchen Aide mixer
    -toaster oven
    -crockpot
Dough table still needs cleaning and i would love a stool
Some day when the other side is done it will hold extra kitchen things. Right now-eeew. So dirty. Prob. start that next week. This was a catch all clutter area at one point. The areas need paint but -kittens and not warnm enough weather.
    Bit by bit.

Still have the creeping crud, so not much getting done. I have a list for tomorrow, but I'm not sure it will get done.

    Tomorrow:

    1. Clean out and wash litter boxes.
    2. Rearrange living room furniture. This setup is just not working.
    3. Dust electronics with canned air. The DVD player was acting funny today.

    Have a fantastic day, Everyone!
