pinetree - thanks for the reminder that the signs of a heart attack in women is so different than for men. Scary that most of us, including me, don't know everything to look for. I really need to be more informed.
Jen - careful on the roads today with your ice storm, stay safe! I smiled when I read that your son cleaned up the kitchen....... he loves his mom!!
We got snow last night so driving to work should be fun. I'm going to leave a hour later so hopefully I won't get stuck in traffic.
1 - clean DH's bathroom, clean closet mirrors
2 - return at Bed Bath and Beyond

Going to take a snow day so I get to stay home with the pups, yippee! I won't be getting to Bed, Bath and Beyond though but I'm sure I can find something to do around here.

I haven't had to make many decisions about my "to do list" each day because I've been making so many medical appointment for myself that there is something almost every day.
I was working on my list of things I wanted so I could join the Twenty Wishes Challenge. What I realized was that so many of them fell into the category of getting all my medical "stuff" up to date. After finding a new chiropractor (my previous one retired) and making an appointment, I used some of the momentum to check off a few other boxes. I had my women's yearly on Saturday. Today I need to schedule my mammogram. This morning I go to the eye doctor for an exam and likely new glasses. After the mammogram, I'll need a complete physical. That doctor will send me for blood work and a colonoscopy.
I've had 4 visits to the chiropractor and feel better than I have in 6 months. I'll probably freak out when all the bills roll in. The first $500 (deductible) is on me.
1) Eye doctor appointment
2) Kohl's return
3) Make mammogram appointment (perhaps I'll do that immediately at 8:00 a.m.) Done! Maybe I'm crazy but I scheduled this for Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. at the hospital 45 minutes away. Oh well. It will be an adventure.
At the moment, the little messes in the house don't matter to me. It's kind of strange that at this point in my life when the house is paid off and the college fund is building on schedule, what I really want for myself is good health. I could probably afford a trinket or two (sandals and purses) but my heart's desire is to have good medical care.
My secret goal is to have all of this medical stuff wrapped up by the end of February.

Good for you, SallyC!!! I have an appointment next week with my new doctor----I had to give up my previous doctor, whom I LOVED, since her group didn't accept my insurance----and hope to establish a good relationship with her. My best friend's husband uses her and says she's great. Within the next few weeks I will set up an eye doctor's appointment because it's been 3 years and my eyes have changed and my glasses are in terrible shape. I'm in good shape with oral health----I have a dentist and a periodontist both of whom I see regularly. Don't need a colonoscopy till 2017 and I just got my hearing aid so everything is coming together.
Good health is a real blessing.
pinetree, keep hanging in there. Things will get better.
For today, I'm planning to finish up my weekend list and also get in the garage and get some items together to donate.

Ilovechocolate: getting established with a new doctor is one of the things that made it so hard for me to get started with a new chiropractor--even though I badly needed to do so. But between you and I we could start a 2015 Get Your Healthcare Current Challenge.
Edited to add: I did it. I started a thread to get current on healthcare.

I am also working on my healthcare, two appointments last week and another this week. Waiting for all the blood work to come back. In five weeks I'll go back for my annual physical. I'd join your challenge SallyC but it seems like this is the only one I can stick with! I will check it out though and cheer you on. It's a great idea and hopefully will encourage others.
I did my list minus my return at the store but hopefully will do that sometime this week. Not going to work today screwed up my errands for the week.
1 - vacuum carpet and furniture, clean rabbit litter boxes
2 - Costco/Meijer
3 - exercise

0/3 today. The driving was very tense and I got tired out by it, so I didn't do anything but my dailies. The ice started before I took my DD to work last night and it was ugly this morning, but gone by the afternoon. One good thing was all the delays made the roads less congested. Hubby has his car back, so I'm off chauffeur duty.
1. Move books to set up printer.
2. Gather up all the odds & ends of decorations and get them put away.
3. Make grocery list for the trip on the 15th.

I have a lot to do around my house. The entire place is in disarray because I've been out of the house so much. Not only have I been tending to my medical appointments, but since it feels so good to feel good I've been on the go with my daughter and enjoying some shopping time. The mess only bugs me a tiny bit because it has been so totally worth it to be more active, just because I can.
I think I'll need to post three goals at a time and then continue on until I have everything back in order. I'll try to do the tasks that will have the biggest impact on family life first.
1) Wash, dry and put away dishes; run the dishwasher and unload it
2) Scrub bathrooms; toss all the towels and shower curtains into the wash
3) Sweep and mop kitchen floor
I'm hoping I can have all this done by noon. It's just a matter of getting started.

My energy level has been so low the last few weeks. It's been a real effort to get through much of anything, it's very discouraging. Christmas stuff is still out, etc. I think my thyroid meds may need adjusting because I'm feeling exactly like I did before I was diagnosed.
So for today I hope to plod along with the same list from the last several days. I DID get my ground beef browned and packaged for the freezer yesterday, plus a couple of other small things.
Anyway, good luck on your lists today, ladies.

1) Change the bed, toss the sheets in the washer
2) Laundry: lights, darks and denims
3) Switch over to my new, lighter, smaller back-friendly purse
I'm doing everything else I can before finally admitting I will have to dust and vacuum. I'm saving that one for last.
