Have you ever done a search on Facebook for resale groups in your area? I belong to quite a few, and save tremendously on anything from clothing to household and even food. In turn it's also a great way to sell your stuff at minimal cost or free.

Go to the search engine, fill in resale groups followed by the name of your town, surrounding towns, and your county. They are wonderful, and popping up all over the country!

I admire your attitude and wish you well! You are proof that "whatever doesn't kill us, will make us stronger"!

My brother has been gone for a couple days it is fantastic. ... we sat in the living room.. had dinner alone.. Hubs helped around the house.. we played with dogs and cats listened to music.. it has been more like home...
We have really enjoyed this alone time....

I think I am trying to rebuild the life we had rather than the home.
We had a middle class life that is gone..I have no doubt I live the rest of my life in poverty.
These few days I was so comfortable without my brother. Not that I do not appreciate him.
But it was us. Me and hubs.

We cooked, watched tv, sat on our huge couch and cuddled with the furbabies
We were alone I our own happy place. .
Yes I need a few material things for comfort
    Maybe less than I think.

    It is something to ponder.
Today is the 4 d ultra sound.we are looking forward to getting a good look at her.
    Our life is changing.
I should be going to a judge soon.. hopefully I will get a sympathetic judge.

When that happens we will be living on our own..

    Hey there Brenda67!

Can you share the recipe for your homemade detergent? I wash clothes 2x's a week, and while not a lot I would love to learn to save. Care to share?

I have to say you are doing a wonderful job of saving, shopping frugally and making do with what you have. I know I've been there and it's hard but "this too shall pass". Times might always be hard but it will be easier to manage since you're already doing so good at it. Keep up the great work!
