CH I hope the doctors offices figured their problem out and scheduled you.
Winkie - actually sounds like a lot of work done to me.
Hubby is grilling burgers and making roasted potatoes. I want to skip cooking tonight, we'll see - the big piece of beef really needs to be dealt with. Tomorrow we get the snow and ice, hopefully just a tiny bit.
I shopped at CVS this morning to use a LOT of coupons and a GC. I picked up kindling sticks and hubby brought in wood so we are set for fire building for a week I hope. Saturday is more cooking and some baking. I would like to relax tonight. Laundry is done!

Was watching "Go North" and its got a lot of settings in the post apocalyptic world that are just actually ruined Detroit. So sad to me.
Going to bed early.

Going to take a free 9 week on line university course on 'Dementia" with the hope that I will be able to put the knowledge to good use with my aging parents.

No, no one called today about the testing appointment. I am an angry stressed out mess. I have been planning for 6 weeks, got myself psyched and ready and now it is all hanging on getting this stupid test in the next 7 days. And no one will call me. Argh!
The first wave of rain/ice has come through the city. It was very light. It is misting now. DH and I got home from a friend's house with no problems, but I am sure as the night goes on the roads will get slick. Not planning on going anywhere the rest of the weekend.
Hope everyone else has a safe weekend.Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Be careful in the snow/ice, everyone!
For Saturday: continue from Friday with the addition of watching the Falcons-Seahawks game at 4:30. Pro football isn't really my thing but I'll watch it if Atlanta is in playoffs, etc. And I watched the Super Bowl last year because it was supposed to be Peyton Manning's last game.

Living life on muscinex and lovin" it??
This break up freeze cycle is making my sinuses do the cha cha.
DH leaves tomorrow so I sent him for a haircut. Hopefully we can grab a sanwich and cruise the state park. So my new tabs w/ the pass yesterday.
Got a 1 liner from Ds that he's safe and just has no WIFI or cell service there. Mad as I am about the marriage I am still greatful to hear anything. Still need to open a friendly conversation w/ her that doesnt sound like the Spanish inquisition.
I think I will ask DH if he wants to do Thai lunch today. I wont see him for 6 days (or have to feed him) so that would be fun?
ILC-football is not a thing w/ us but have fun watching.
CH-so sorry. They used to schedule DH's surgery for 6 a.m. so driving 45 min and running across the parking lot and up to the floors got to be a reg. thing even though I begged them to make him 2 or 3. Seems like they like to mess w/ ya sometimes. I hope its scheduled soon.

Good morning to all. Beef stew is cooking and will be done before noon. I mixed chicken/noodle/veg casserole and froze 2 containers + have some in the fridge. This ends the cooking marathon for my parents. I have 8 containers frozen plus a frozen fish entree I picked up on sale for mom. Also unfrozen potato soup w/ cheese & ham and some of the beef stew. I decided quiche experiment (freezing it) could wait until next time.
This afternoon: groom the dog, bake 2 loaves bread, knitting.
I hope everyone is not sick or getting better. Hubby's best friend and his wife are both down w/ flu. Ugh.

We had some snow this afternoon, but it's already melted.
I've had some tough days writing my exam assignment. Have been exhausted and my back and neck are killing me. I have to hand it in on Monday morning, and I'm only halfway done, so I have a lot of work tonight and tomorrow.

Not much going on here. The roads have melted off and even though it is overcast there is no weather expected until 9pm tonight. I went out and did some shopping, got a rotisserie chicken for dinner. Was chatting with the lady at the deli counter and she said yesterday it was a madhouse. The parking lot was full and people couldn't get in or out, and there were fights, and the lines in the store went all the way to the back. I noticed the shelves looked pretty ransacked this morning, but almost no one was shopping and it was very peaceful.
I have let go of my anger over the scheduling snafu. It is completely out of my hands at this point and being upset about it only affects me. I choose to not be upset.

GB-thanks. Have a Target number in mind. About $1500. more. It would be 10 months of Efund if Dh couldnt work
CH-may as well. They dont give a crap.
went out for Thai w/ Dh and then S.A. found 3 shirts for him,a cusinart blender LN,a New chevron collapable crate bag for DD's yarn,a fit bit pedometer for DH and a charger,a new manager set w/ plastic still on the peices of a gingerbread sort of house for the manger. .
We missed being out of cat litter and now Dh has to do a run before he leaves. Lots of surprise expenses in Jan.
Had a nice little conversation w/ DIL. She seems very nice. Likes camping and her dog is cute. Mackey=girl friend.

Well, I am officially a geek. My laptop wouldn't get off the gray screen this morning, so I accessed a you tube video and fixed it myself. We ended up seeing the Ben Afleck movie, which wasn't stellar, and then using a gc at Red Lobster. We then took our free play money and met my BIL and SIL at the casino. I left without spending a penny and made $4 for DH plus got a free dinner buffet. It is very foggy today. It will be a great day to watch Dallas Cowboy game. We are going to church and then using the rest of our Cracker Barrel GC for brunch. Not doing much the rest of the day. Doing laundry and maybe cutting quilt squares while watching the game. Finished a book this morning since fur babies woke me up so early. Have a good day.

Tine, Good Luck with your homework, fingers crossed for A+.
Gbug WTG with the computer!
busy day yesterday, had to peel all the garlic, freeze and a bunch in the dehydrator for garlic powder.. started going bad, and wanted to save it all, looks like we are switching to soft neck, it sure stores a lot longer.
The kids had a tough time getting out of vegas, flights kept getting canceled, but made it home last night. whew are the cats happy! Fancy was so excited they didn't leave her forever, and was stuck to DIL's neck until this morning, lol, she was even wrapped around her neck sleeping.. poor little girl, she was dumped once, I really don't want her to think she was again.
Todays my brothers 60th birthday, sure hope he had a good one. I remember the day he was born, I loved him so much then, and its never changed.. Happy Birthday big A.
Spent the day looking at pictures, going thru all the " junk" the kids brought home, it was fun.. thing have really changed back there again, but it always does.. Best things they brought home besides the kids are they brought me a whole bunch of my Ethel M's candy!! WHoohoo, enough to last a year if I can get in in the freezer!
keep you eyes on the sky, stay safe....

You're right FW, nobody really cares how inconvenienced other people are, as long as it doesn't come back on them.
I'm glad you got your kitty to eat.
Gb it sounds like you had fun.
Good news! I found the earring back I lost last week. I put that set back in the jewelry box with a note not to wear them. The bad news is that while searching for some other low profile earrings to wear I have discovered 3 other pair that are missing. My original stainless studs, a pair of swarovski crystal balls, and a set of iridescent hoops. No idea where they went. Nobody else has been around to "borrow" them. None of it is valuable. DH joked that he was secretly selling off my jewelry to fund his retirement. LOL!
The ice storm came and went... around us. Had a couple hours of freezing mist then it got above freezing the rest of the day. However other parts of KS and MO were hit very hard and there have been highway deaths.
Hope everyone has a good evening.Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
