Gbug, great about loans getting paid off!
Our Max had doggie dementia. Yes, it's real, and it's not fun. He became incontinent and totally loopy but he seemed happy and ate well, so I put off taking him to the vet to have him put down. It was hard, constantly trying to keep him dry and clean. Plus he was a Lab, so the mess was bad and large. I'm sorry your Ranger has it. There may be some sort of meds you can try that will help for a while. Your vet can guide you.
Thank you for helping the homeless woman. I cannot imagine being in her situation. How blessed I am!

erma, take care of that throat.

Winkie, please, please, send me some of your energy.

fw, poor Mia and poor you!

It's a glorious day----warm sunshine and in the 70s, like mid-to-late March. I've got some windows open for the fresh air. DH and I went to Kroger to get some items on sale through today and to pick up prescriptions and I found a pretty pink bouquet of some kind of flowers for only $4. Shouldn't have spent the money but they were too lovely to resist. We also got free soup at Chick-Fil-A with our calendar cards. Got a whole chicken (79 cents a pound) in the crockpot so all I have to do is cook a couple of sides for supper.

    For the rest of Tuesday:

    1) Clean up kitchen
    2) Deal with litter box
    3) Stay on track with Bible study homework
    4) Put away the rest of the clean laundry
    5) Wash throw rugs/hang on porch to dry

GB sorry about the dog. Can you try benadryl to make him sleepy? I have also read melatonin works for dogs. I would start w/ a small dose.

I have exercise class tonight. Hubby is working late so I had a early sandwich and that will be all. We have lots of leftovers so I hope to escape cooking for several more days. But I am going to make veg soup w/ ham bone in the crock pot soon.

GB - you are so kind to take care of the lady. Great news on the payoffs!
ILC- the flowers are worth it- you are worth it! Enjoy them

    I got my list done.
    Tomorrow:
    Work 8 hours
    Sweep/ vacuum basement
Declutter basement living area: newspapers, wayward shoes, etc
Left over sloppy joe for supper
Need to make a date w/ my friend, I have a prayer shawl for her husband

I feel like I am finally getting some energy back, but I am still not 100%. I finished the steroids yesterday, now hopefully the cough will go away.

Well, not doing much today. Laundry is about it and I have $50 free play at the casino, so I might just venture up there and see if I can turn it into a hundred. I only play penny slots, so I am definitely not a big spender, plus I won't be spending any of my money at all because I don't have any. lol Have a good day and keep your fingers crossed.

GB-have fun. I guess you never know.
Maxx as usual has rallied and is walking as good as ever. This cat seems to have 9 lives x2? Hes a sweety so I'm glad.
Ran the DW last night and the drain seemed to hold fine. Going to try 2 more loads today. Gosh worrying about a drain is stupid.
My sleep schedule is so screwy right now I want to go bad to bed? Better go feed fur people.

Let me say, you don't realize how essential walking is to your daily life until you can't do it. Five steps to the bathroom. No. Drink of water. No. Cat on the kitchen table. LOL! I can get around a little with the office chair but it is a lot of effort.

Changed the bandages yesterday. The sutures have dried up, which is good. It is sensitive and starting to itch a tiny bit, also a LOT of the swelling has gone down. It will still be a month before I can put weight on it.

DH is getting used to the idea of getting something out of the freezer to thaw before he leaves for work, so he doesn't have to mess with dinner too much. He stays with me an hour in the morning and then works an extra hour in the evenings.

One of the ladies he works with has a knee scooter she will be done using in a few weeks and he has arranged to borrow it. That will save us hundreds in rental fees.

    Good luck GB!

    Hugs for Maxx!

Glad you are feeling better Ermadunk and Winkie!
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

Ch-cat=spray bottle of water and add a touch of vinegar if it persists. Cats are the most oppertunistic creatures arent they! The knee scooter was so great but it was over $200. and if the stoooopid Detroit airport help hadnt slammed it he might still use it-you can get some speed in the airports. I would be using 2 canes w/ that office chair like cross country skiing!!

Lost 4# and I'm happy to be going in the right direction. For a long time I was just headed up and up. Fingers crossed this year will let me get my head separated from my mouth when it comes to eating. Stress=choc or sugar around here and that needs to change. I think no birthday cake this year. I can make 1/2 doz cookies and split them or nothing at all??

fw, good for your weight loss. I have my physical next month and need to lose at least 5 pounds. I hate trying to lose.

CH, that's great news about the knee scooter.

    Everyone, hi!

It's been a productive day-----cleaning, paying bills, helping DH with some stuff outside. Supper will be ready is a few minutes and then church.

Well, I got my new year of the rooster players card, played on the casino's $50 all day, came home with $220 and a ceramic Chinese cat of fortune that waves and sits on a red satin pillow. It is so ugly! I told my kids that it was their inheritance. lol

Gb-suction it to the dash of your car and send them photos.lol

Did a rinse wash and now the DW dishes have a chalky film-lime?? I just wanted to rerinse the load that been sitting w/ the sewer chaos. Now its worse. IF juet dry and more soap doesnt do it I will wait until DH leaves and call someone. Enough is enough!!!! I have 4 loads backed up. Anyone remember "green Acres" when she threw the dishes out the back window. Thats next and paper.
    I'm starting a Go Fund Me.lol

I am considering getting the year of the Rooster stamps like i used to from several countries. I like stamps but havent done it in at least 7 yrs. now.

FW2--That's what my BIL said. It is too big to put on the dashboard. It is big as a cookie jar. I put a jar in the teachers' lounge one time and ask for donations to fund me to buy new underwear that had tiny holes in them that sharp edges in a dryer had put in them. Needless to say, I had to buy my own underwear.

A cold front came through last night, so our days of mid 70s are gone and we are back in the 40s. I am cleaning house and washing sheets today. I need to run to Kroger for some money orders and a birthday card. I probably will hit Sprouts while I'm out. I also have a theatre meeting this afternoon.

GB-when we were young my Ddad refused a checking acct. and we were always getting money orders at the drug store. Are you anti checking acct.?? IK it wouldnt fit but it would be funnier if it would wedge in for a picture then. Can you belt it in and say you are taking good care of their inheritance and send a photo. And yes. Yes I have a warped sense of humor.

IDK what I'll do today. Hope the DW cooperated last night. So tired of argueing w/ inanimate things???
