We're spending the weekend in a vacation home with my MIL. Picked wild blackberries for pie and had a walk at the beach today.

So beautiful, Tine! Wish I was there.

    Today I have:

    -general tidying up
    - laundry to fold
    - sewing
    - sausage biscuit sandwiches (already made and packed away)
    - stuff to move to the garage

We had leftover short ribs and leftover spinach salad last night. Tonight it is HM burritos with leftover cheese sauce and salad with tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.

If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

Saturday was very rainy and cold, did laundry and sewing and made French onion soup. Today worked at the dog club booth at Scottish Games event for 6 hours, came home tired (standing and talking to people). May do a little knitting or sewing. Monday making baked beans in the crock pot, hubby making brisket. I will do some baking and gardening. Weather has been very cool for this time of year. I may go ahead and plant lettuce. We should get 1 or 2 more hot days then rain and cool again.

I baked bread and made apple, pear and plum jam from my grandma's recipe yesterday. I've always loved it. I made a jar for our neighbor who fed our cat in the weekend.

The elderberries in our garden are almost ripe. I'll make elderberry soup with apple and croutons. It's another childhood memory with my grandparents.

Here's some pictures from our vacation in beautiful Stockholm. The city is build on a lot of islands and have ferries and a ton of bridges connecting the neighborhoods. The 3rd picture is the parliament building and the 4th is one of the narrow streets in the Old Town.

Beautiful pictures Tine, thanks for sharing.

It was a chilly 50F this morning! Fall is nearly here. My big basil plant is not happy, I will have to make pesto soon.

    today:

    yoga
    clean kitchen
    sewing
    vacation planning

DH wanted gyros last night so we went out. Still have the fixings for ham sandwiches for dinner tonight. Maybe soup if it stays chilly.

DH also wants to take a weekend off between now and mid-october. One or two overnights at someplace interesting within a half day's drive. So I need to find something....

Went to the doctor yesterday because of a changed birthmark. He recommended removing it, so I go back next week.

    Today:

    Run dishwasher - done.
    Fold laundry.
