It's very cold here. Snowed for about 5 minutes last night and the sun came out. I start back teaching on Saturdays tomorrow. Got to go to the theatre to get a key and updated rosters. Not doing anything else except maybe needlework. Making scallops for dinner. Splurged and bought some at Sprouts. Going to use them in a salad.

Took Devil Dog to the vet this morning, he was having an issue and I wanted to make sure it was only behavioral, not medical. Vet determined it was mainly behavioral but could turn into a medical situation, so more training. We did use going to the vet as a training session, he can be a little dog reactive so we worked on that. Also gave out a lot of cut up turkey when the vet or a tech was in the room, they leave - no turkey. Trying to condition him that the vet and techs mean something good happens. (even if something bad happens!) The tech was able to take his temperature while I was shoveling turkey in his mouth and he didn't even care.

Just did a load of wash, some batch cooking and scattered cleaning/picking up. We are going to have leftovers for dinner. I plan on finishing my book tonight and just laying around catching up on tv programs we taped.

Today we went grocery shopping before church. We were able to do this because it was so cold outside, 8 degrees I think, so the cold stuff stayed cold in the trunk. Saved us time since Meijer is much busier when we get out of church. Cleaned out the woodstove and started it up again. Reset house and am getting ready to request more books online at the library.

DH was off today, so I didn't go to the soup kitchen. I walked my 2 miles this morning and then we went to several unique hardware and garden stores. I got some suiite for my birds, a new water container for my chickens, a container to start my tomato seeds indoors, and some algicide for my aquarium. Spent money, but came home with free samples of cat and dog food. Suppose to get snowy and icy tonight. Think it will be South of us though.

We didn't get any of the ice or snow here. It is very cold though. I am sitting by the fire drinking hot tea.

    Work on my needlework
Work on updating my enrollment sheets for the theatre
Dinner tonight: leftover chicken mixed with mushroom soup over pasta and a salad.

You know it's been cold when you go outside with the dogs at 7:30 am as usual and today think, gosh it feels pretty good out here today. Went in the house and the news was on, it was 10 degrees outside! I got the kitchen, bathrooms and basement steps cleaned, baked two batches of muffins and cleaned the master bath. I have got to work on a library book and think of a game for our game floor time with Awana tonight.

I feel so bad for everyone in southern states who are having this bitter cold weather, here we are used to it and can deal with it. I can't imagine having to deal with it not having anything to prepare you for it.

Stopped at Meijer before work, didn't have much time but did manage to get a harness for Devil Dog, they were on sale this week. I have been waiting for this, didn't want to buy one at regular price. Doing a couple of loads of laundry now, have to make lunches for tomorrow. I talked DH into going to the doctor tomorrow, he fell a couple of day ago on ice and hurt his shoulder. I am sure that his Doc will send him to a specialist, I just hope he doesn't need surgery. It's a bad sign when I can talk DH into going to the doctor easily, he's the type who thinks if he waits long enough, the (fill in the blank) will go away. So him going, makes me think it's worse than he's letting on.
