We’re celebrating my grandma’s 87th birthday today. We planned on staying with my mom until tomorrow, but we have to go back home to give our cat her medicine three times a day. My cousin have been an exchange student in Australia since August and just came back. She’ll be there today.

    Today:

    - Run dishwasher.

Cleaned the house up a bit this morning and then drove down to the shelter to check out the dogs. They showed me the bravest one and she defecated and urinated as soon as she saw me. When the shelter worker petted her she just pancaked and froze. Poor dog. I think at this point I could not take her home with me. I am going back to the shelter next Saturday to try to work a little with her to get her to trust me.

We are having a snow storm tonight and through tomorrow till 7pm. Looks like we will staying home from church tomorrow and not going out for Super Bowl. Hope to get caught up on a few things around here.
I'm too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.

Rabbit will any of your dogs help bring her out of her fear. My old beagle was great for that.

One of my cousins is marrying his high school girlfriend this year. My mom and I taught them the wedding waltz yesterday. He’s the only one in three generations who didn’t have dance classes as a kid. We don’t have a tradition of first dance, but the wedding waltz has to be danced before midnight.

It’s Viennese waltz danced mostly on the spot with right turns always to the same music from 1854 first used in a ballet. The guests stand in a circle around the couple, clapping to the count of the music, and slowly take steps forward to close in on the couple. When they can’t move anymore they have to kiss.

I found a video from the Crown Prins’ wedding in 2004.

Let's just say I putzed and call it a day. Piddled around, held furbabies, played on computer and watched TV. DID fix supper and some on bathroom. sigh...Like Piney said... not a good move day

Stillfrugal - I'm sure that my dogs could help the feral dog but my concerns are that she would maybe just connect with them and not us, since she's used to being in a pack. I would first have to get her to bond with me. We decided to pass on fostering her, DH does not want a "lifer" foster dog. Besides taking a long time to domesticate her, she also has some inbreeding issues that could make it more difficult to find her a home. I went yesterday to look at a Miniature Schnauser(sp?)/Shih Tzu mix who was adopted out and brought back due to housebreaking issues and biting. That is more of what I feel comfortable working with so we are going to foster him. DH has to go back with me to meet him and pick him up.

    ~ pay bills
    ~ dailies
~ make DH valentines day dinner
    ~ errands
    ~ laundry

Rabbit-that does sound A bit much. I have done several feral cats but they dont have to go out to the bathroom either. I took me a year to do Mia but I intended to keep her from the start. There were a few "Oh God what have i done prayers w/ her too. Good luck either way.

Need to clean something, anything in this house and get some groc. DH has picked up a few things here and there but only hi Aldis and need lunchmeat.
