Top cupboards, washed down and decluttered!! Woo hoo glad I don't have many cupboards. The only thing I have left now in the kitchen to do is a book shelf and the top of my computer desk (which actually isn't too bad).

    This round I tossed out:

    -plastic canning strainer (goodwill)
    -coffee pot parts
    -4 plastic spice bottles (goodwill)
    -1 glass spice bottle (goodwill)
    -1 glass plate (goodwill)
    -1 glass bowl (goodwill)
    -pyrex pie plate (goodwill)
-umpteen old paper clips (I didn't even sort the good with the bad, they all went out)
    -staple remover (goodwill)
    - 2 dead batteries
    - plastic cup
    - 7 china plates (goodwill)
    - expired ear drops
    - empty nail polish remover
    - small A & W cup (goodwill)
    - Christmas decoration
    - wall lamp (goodwill)
    - dried up glue bottle
    - catalogue
    - small weigh scale (goodwill)
    - expired medicated cream
    - pill bottle (emptied the pills in the toilet)
    - expired coupon
    - co-op card (not even a member anymore)
    -4 scrap pieces of paper
    - 2 old Christmas light bulbs
    - film container
    - old key (haven't a clue what its for)
    - platter (goodwill)
    - blender (goodwill)
    - 3 glass bread pans (goodwill - my bread burns in them)
    - dish rack (goodwill)

Oh but that feels good. Dh was sleeping in the chair and came out when he woke up and said "what are you doing?" I about paniced because he is a pack rat!! Just decluttering dear. He just sort rolled his eys and left!!

Does it feel good to toss all this stuff!!

    - 2 t-shirts (goodwill)
    - 2 sweaters (goodwill)
    - 2 plastic doll covers

Wow! CJ you've been busy! My kitchen needs decluttering badly. I've never done it

Yesterday (6/23) I tossed a huge trashbag of trash from the basement. Old papers, wiring, broken cookie jar, and misc odds and ends. I should go find some more. The trashmen are due any minute, lol.

Well during part of yesterday afternoon & evening, after I finished excersising and before I went into chat last night, I worked on a couple of things, our m/bedroom and the upstairs closets.

    From the closets I tossed:

    - 3 small pieces of wrapping paper
    - h.s. tape (goodwill)
    - catalogue (I can't believe how many outdated catalogues I had)
    - cloth bag (goodwill)
    - double sheet (goodwill)
    - 12 books (goodwill)
    - stuffed toy (goodwill)
    - flash cards (goodwill)
    - 6 hand towels (goodwill)
    - 5 pillowcases (goodwill)
    - craft pkg. (goodwill)
    - envelope

From our m/bedroom which isn't quite finished yet, but almost there.

    - Christmas tree stand (goodwill)
    - doily (goodwill)
    - old receipt
    - magazine
    - cook book (goodwill)
    - box cards (goodwill)
    - 2 empty boxes
    - 3 sm. pieces of material
    - 2 rolls wallpaper border (goodwill)
    - flyer
    - stuffed dog (goodwill)
    - ball (goodwill)
    - scarf (goodwill)
    - old paint shirt

I'll be working on finished our m/bedroom for the next couple of days. Its incredible how much keeps coming in. I need to be careful to make sure I tie the bags for goodwill before dh gets home, otherwise he is looking through them, wondering what I've tossed. If he only knew!!!

CJ, I don't think you need to exercise...all of the tossing you are doing is certainly exercise enough!

I'm doing the computer room and the kitchen today. I didn't quite get to the kitchen yesterday due to an unexpected visit from my Mom. I'll update with my totals later.

I'm in the dungeon today. We are going to build a rec room for the girls down there. There is no room to move because of the yard sale stuff. We've postponed it 2 times already because of rain.

I cleared off 2 racks of shelving. I should have 3 bags of trash just from today. I'm being ruthless. Too bad I missed the trashmen, it's gonna sit outside til next week.

    June 24th

I've been ruthless in our m/bedroom as well. I'm finally finished the dressers. In my main dresser, are a couple of drawers with papers of every description so its taken me longer than what I expected, but at least they are now done. I have about 1 hour left in that room, then I'm upstairs into my sewing room. Not much there, but there are a few things I've been hanging on to for no particular reason!!!

So from the m/bedroom I've tossed:

    - umpteen papers
    - 5 plastic bags (recycled)
    - 6 envelops
    - quilting template (goodwill)
    - 2 curtain tie backs (goodwill)
    - 2 McDonald toys (goodwill)
    - small ball (goodwill)
    - 3 magazines
    - old broken watch
    - key (haven't a clue what its for)
    - 2 pcs. cardboard
    - pins
    - ruler
    - paint mixing stick (I have a doz. of those already)
    - 2001 date book (with nothing in it of course!!)
    - french instruction book for our cell phone
    - empty pen
    - 2 broken pencils
    - 2 broken shoe laces
    - empty pill bottle (recycled)
    - leather gloves that don't fit (goodwill)
    - quilting blade
    - key chain

Goodwill is going to love me!!

Well yesterday evening I finally finished our m/bedroom. Once that was done, I took a quick look at the bathroom and the sewing room. Here is what I tossed:

    m/bedroom:
    - instruction book for calculator
    - cloth bag (goodwill)
    - magazine
    - 2 empty perfume bottles
    - cookbook (goodwill)
    - business stamper
    - 1 envelope
    - a few more papers
    - 2 wall hangings
    - 2 empty boxes

    sewing room:
    - 3 pcs. material (goodwill)
    - small straight pins (I hate using the small ones and really like the longer ones, so I dumped the smaller ones)
    - umpteen curtain rings from the 60's!!!

    bathroom:
    - toilet paper holder (goodwill)
    - 11 sm. shampoo containers (I emptied them all into one larger one, the bottles went in recycling)

Then I decided as well to do my craft container while I was in the sewing room. From there I tossed:
    - 1 wood block
    - wood giraffe (broken)
    - 5 empty craft paint bottles (recycled)
    - 5 Chrismtas decorations

Not much left to toss now!! Course you never know, I want it simple, simple, simple in my house!!!

Now I need to do the porch (too cold today) and the basement which I'll probably start on later this week.

Today I tossed from my jewelry box and the compartment in my headboard.

Shaving cream can "cap" only the cap, been in my room for ages with barrettes in it

    a stained doily

    old appointment cards

    a red garter

some jewelry tossed into the yard sale pile in my basement that is growing!

That's five! Yippee! I also threw away bits of trash, screws, nails and basic junk. I now have a spot in the bed for all of the remote controls! I feel so free!

Okay, today I threw out some old files, some old magazines, entirely cleaned out my refunding drawer (am wrestling with tossing all the upcs...many of them will never have a deal or an offer I can use them for), old mail, old stickers. The rolltop desk will be cleaned and polished by days end...i can feel it!

Well, I am really late in posting, but I have been tossing daily. I redid my bedroom and tossed quiet a bit. I tossed magazines (lots of them), a box, papers and clothes. I have also did a little in the kitchen and tossed some old bowls, cups, lids with no matching bowls. I need to do the kitchen drawers. I bet I can throw away alot more.
