Exclamation Simple living challenge #8 (Christmas challenge)

Its the month of Christmas, where we run like crazy, never seem to stop and wonder why were weary and crumpy by the time Christmas is here. Here is my challenge to you:

    - scratch off one thing you have on your calendar to do this month. Mark it off with a black magic marker and forget about it.
    - take at least a couple of days this month to just be thankful for the season, where you just relax with a cup of hot chocolate and sit quietly for 30 minutes.
    - take a can or two of veggies, etc. and donate to a charity of your choice. You'll find in giving it will touch others in ways beyond your imagination and will put you in the true spirit of Christmas.

Remember this season is about celebrating with family and friends, enjoying each others company. Take the time to relax and enjoy it!!

    What a great challenge. Thanks!

I'll be checking my list to see what can go.

We donate food at church and uptown in the local stores.

My challenge will be taking the couple days but I am determined to do this, I really am. I don't want this wonderful season passing by without truly enjoying it!

I guess they don't call it a challenge for nothing, huh?!

Why is it that the giving away is the easiest thing to do....heaven forbid if I should take some time to reflect upon what I'm supposed be doing all of this for.....does that make sense?? I'm going to do this CJ ~ thanks for calling my attention to the fact that the hustle & bustle is not the end all......

Good challenge CJ! I was just looking at our calendar and it is already packed to the gills with parties, gingerbread house making, school activities, music lessons, church service, etc.. Tonight I had already planned to sit down with DH and go over everything and see where we could trim and cut out things. We still have other things that kids want to do to add, so we better start trimming some of the other stuff fast! I do not want to get caught up in the rush and not enjoy Christmas or forget the whole reason for the season!
