I buy things and wrap them as I go (my Christmas wrapping paper is out year round ). Then I tag it with a number (keeps prying eyes out) and put the number on a document I keep online-- that details the gift, who it's for, etc.

Sunshine I wish I could do that! That would be awesome.
I have to keep things well hidden. Even my most secret hiding spots have been found before. lol I do have a rafter in my garage. lol I could stash items in a box up there.

I'm in! I don't know how much I can do, because our budget is pretty tight, but I will be keeping my eyes open for good deals.

I hide the wrapped gifts-- in the barn loft, in the root cellar, in the motor home (locked) etc.

Well, I did my inventory. Before you gasp, figure that I've been building this up over the years. And just about everything was bought at deep discount -- for example, the Yankee Candles were 75% off last year. And the Harry Potter ceramic boxes were marked WAAY down -- when the first movie came out!

    Here it is!

    Red/Green Underbed Box (Teachers’ Gifts)
    Wine bottle bag
    Leather journal
    Hardbound journal
    ‘notekeepers’ tin
    24 month magnetic calendar
    Candles:
Yankee McIntosh: 1 set; 2 pillars; 2 small jars
Yankee Christmas cookie: 14 votives; 1 pkg tealights; 1 small jar
other candles: 4 pillar; 2 cinnamon; dragonfly

Pink Underbed Box (Kids' Friends’ Gifts)

    Lego – Mars (b’day wrap)
    Playmobil jumper (horse set)
    Harry Potter lego Aragon
5 Story CDs: 3 Peachboy; Tiger & Brahmin; Finn McCool
    Story tape: Pecos Bill
    3 triazzle puzzles
    3 Christmas pins
    Playmobil fairy

    Box #1 (kid’s gifts)
    Monopoly
    Playmobil advent calendar
    Harry Potter puzzle (Christmas wrap)
    Harry Potter puzzle (unwrapped)

Box #2 (gifts for my children)
    2 Bratz (Cloe, Fianna)
    Secret Garden Activity Book
    American Girls Clever Letters
    2 journals
    3 Angelina Ballerina books

5 American Girl Girls of the World -- stored separately

    Box #3 (110c)
    Misc small Playmobil

    Box #4 (Mom/Dad b’day; family Christmas ‘05)
    Journal for Mom
    Journal for Dad
    2 peppermint pigs

Box #5 (Harry Potter ceramic boxes)

Set of 6 HP boxes for R
    Golden snitch box
    Hermione box

Early Bird, that's an awesome gift closet!

Adding to this thread because I have one item that I popped into the gift closet. Walmart had some clearance toys out and I bought a cute little toy gift set for $5. It has a school bus and some little toy people.

I need to do this 2 but can not even start until March.
DS 16 bd is comming fast next month.
Then i need to really get cracking because it ended up me having to do all of mine on the 24th of DEC. I made it plus bought Christmas Dinner under $300.00.
I plan on making some gifts also.
I'll try to get a couple things anyhow this month.
Count Me In ( I am starting from scratch )

I hit another Yankee Candle after-Christmas sale this year!

    I got

    * 6 votive sets (6 votives and a holder in each) -- $2.50 apiece.
    * 3 tart burner sets (nice Christmas burner and 3 tarts in each) -- $3.75 apiece.

    so, for $15 + $11.25 = $26.25, I got 9 gifts. Teachers, neighbors, scout leaders.

Wow! I'm in! Right now I have:

The game Operation - bought it at amazons clearance sale in August. It's for dd's birthday in February.

Package of 4 onesies - actually a regift...someone gave it to us for Patrick and it got lost in the shuffle...I unearthed it recently...perfect condition.

Baby bottle in a teddy bear contraption - another regift that got lost...perfect condition, still in the package.
