    Default Count me in

I haven't really done this in the past but have a friend who has and always give extremely nice gifts. She works in a nice retail clothing store so when prices drop LOW she uses her employee discount and the $5 incentive GCs she gets often.

I know that she has purchase a very nice dress for me for under $5 with retail of $80.

Anyway, she was saying that I really needed to shop all year because we enjoy giving and give to everyone from the school crossing guard, teachers, band director, neighbors, as well as family.

So I went to Target to pick up a few household cleaning supplies and they had their after Christmas sale.

    So I bought

    2 - Nice Cookie Jars $3.00 each
1 - Set of Dishes $6 (my sister will love them)
    2- Children's Dish Sets $2.50 each
    1 - Nice Clock $5
    1- Little Girls Purse $1.50
    4- Snowman Mugs $1.00 each
    1- Baby Christmas Onsie $1.50

This may not sound like deals to many of you but every item was at least 75% off and some were more.

And to think that each of these represents a present that I would buy next Christmas spending anywhere from $10-$25 per person.

I am in on this one. I do try to shop all year but often end up giving gifts out ahead of time. So my gift closet is for Christmas and birthdays. So far I have

    Arch candle set
    Paper Doll Book
    Santa Purse
    Dog candle
    Compass book
    Lighted frog for yard decoration
    Snow man on a sled
    Snowman salt and pepper set
    Snowman candle
    Avon Rare Gold perfume
    Snowman apron
American Girl books ( one hardcover is earmarked as a birthday gift but there are also several for DGD for Christmas next year)
Bible (earmarked for DGD # 2 baptism)

I think I have the teachers/scout leaders taken care of for '06!

8 Christmas lapel pins ($20 pins reduced to $6.80)
4 Yankee Candle sets (75% off)

There are 2 special teachers who will get gift certificates. But I'll buy them close to Christmas.

And I'm using my Discover Card cashback for other gift certificates. $20 in cashback gets a $25 Lands' End gift certificate. So far, I've got 3 of them stashed, but I'll bet DH will grab them when he needs new shirts!
