Default Kitchen Challenge - Part Two

Pantry Time!!! (I know...try to contain your excitement, ladies!)

Just like with those cabinets, don't you dare start this until you have a few hours free ahead of you.

Again, just like with the cabinets...empty EVERYTHING out of the pantry. Once it's all out, wipe down the inside of your pantry, so that when you are done, everything can go back onto the nice, clean shelves.

Now, go through everything you've emptied out. Check the expiration dates of items. Toss anything that should not be eaten or used. Anything that's gone stale or moldy, toss. Food items just take common sense. You know what to keep and what not to, I'm sure.

When you are done and are ready to re-load...put like items together, and try to organize the pantry in a way that makes sense. For example, in my pantry, I have the items that I access the most on the shelf that is at my personal arm level. Things that I don't use as often, I put on the other shelves. My canned goods, I put on the sides of the shelves so that they don't buckle the shelf in the middle. Again, let common sense reign supreme when re-loading the pantry.

I will give you two days for this assignment.

By the end of the weekend, I'd love for people to be done with both parts one and two of the Kitchen Challenge.

Mines all done already. My pantry is one of the places that is well organized. I keep very close track of whats there so I can watch carefully for thos loss leaders. Our local co-op is having a huge warehouse sale this coming week and I'm ready.

    Thank Amy for these challenges.

Unfortunately, I don't have hardly anything in the pantry... But I will make sure that all the shelves are cleaned off, and any containers I will be using are in place waiting for payday...

I'm done this one, too! I have a small pantry as well, so it didn't take much!

Well normally my pantry is full at this time of the month (I do monthly shopping) but I haven't gone shopping yet, so it's looking pretty bare.

I'll hop in the kitchen and organize and wipe it down anyway and try and get a pic posted later.
