Smile Clutter Control (organization challenge) Day 1

Today we are going to start with one area, you can pick, in your house that seems to be a dumping ground for stuff. Mine seems to be the top of my dresser, it could be a counter, table, night stand. You pick.

Take everything out of the area, get rid of loose papers, file bills, whatever. If you want to take pictures, do so. I will, and post them here.

When putting things back, make sure you are only putting back the things that need to be in this space. I'm doing my dresser top, which seems to have grown into a large pile of papers.

I'll check back in with a done picture later (we need to go to the library this morning).

Oh my, I'm in! The "kitchen" table in my family room is our dumping ground, junk mail, hubbies magazines, tool catalogs, reciepts, my horse magazines, you name it and it's there! Hmm, if I get really industrious I'll even evict that spider in the light fixture above!!

I am in for this as well. However I am a drawer clutter-er. lol. I like to keep my clutter out of site so I can honestly say it has not been cleaned out this year!!!

I have 2 drawers in the kitchen and one in my room designated for "junk" papers, things we don't know what to do with, and extra things. I will go through those during snack, and lunch time for kids.

    Great challange!

~Nice job Julie! I sorted a small stack of papers and magazines by my computer and then cleaned out my shopping binder. I threw out lots of old ads, coupons, flyers, magazines and rebate catalogs. Looks good!~

I'm in! I dumped my bag of junk yesterday, and today, I'll clear the kitchen counter. It's horrid!!!!

I'm pretty sure my digital camera battery charger is somewhere on that counter. If I find it in time to charge the camera battery before it's all cleaned up, I'll take some pics...

It's a good time to start since I just put Baby down for a nap and the big kids are out doing chores and playing before it gets too hot.

I did find my battery charger! But, the counter is almost cleared and will be all spiffed up by the time the battery charges. I'll post a pic of the clean counter later, though.

This is perfect timing. I will be cleaning the top of my dresser as soon as I get home from work.
    Thanks for the challenge!

Yay! Good for you! I usually get those bugs around 10:00 at night, and start cleaning!
