Default a new challenge for myself

I recently read a blog about a woman who challenged herself to get rid of 7 things a week for 1 year. http://seven-things.blogspot.com/200...ct-begins.html

    Her blog reads
    "The Project Begins
I want to own less. I want to buy less. I want to need less. And I want to want less.

The upshot: from 07/07/06 till 07/07/07 I intend to get rid of 7 things a week.

The guidelines: I will sell, donate, give away, or recycle these seven things (in very rare cases, I may decide to throw something away, but I intend to be very strict with myself about keeping waste to a minimum).
The rationale: I want to more fully embrace simplicity."

What a great idea. I will challenge myself as well. One of my 2008 goals is to declutter, so here I go.

    Anyone want to join me?

I love it, I love it, I love it!!!

I've been a decluttering fool for the past few years, myself, so 7 may be stretching it, but I'm in. I will be kind to myself, however, and if I don't make 7 every week, I'm not going to beat myself up.

But, yes, I'll join you. Anyone who knows me knows that this is right up my alley!

I love this idea and I am in too . I think seven is a perfect number (my lucky number) and it would be great to be owned by less stuff in the new year!

I have decided to start in the bathroom to delutter.
    So far I have found:

1 bottle of pumpkin spice hand lotion, new ~ I will take this to work
    1 bottle nasal spray~ trash
hand lotion, shampoo and conditioner samples ~ to my daughter
    1 bottle haircolor ~ trash
1 bottle mouth sore medication ~ trash
2 rolling foot massagers, unused ~ donate
1 tube yellow temp. haircolor ~ trash
1 haircolor mixing bottle- professional ~ donate

9 items, not bad. That's just one cabinet. I'll do the other one next week.

I'm in! Although, I think I will be throwing a lot away. Some of it is just not usable stuff. I also have to go through some old paperwork. I need to say that a certain number of pages will equal 1 item. Any unbiased ideas for this one?
