Default Get Rid of Something Big Today (or Tomorrow)

Okay, now when I say big, I mean medium to big. I'm sure that if we are all honest with ourselves, there is something in our homes that is taking up some valuable space that we can let go of. Something that is medium to large in size. Doesn't have to be your bed, but I don't mean a gum wrapper either. Or, perhaps it is big in emotional value, but the truth is, you don't love it/use it/display it anymore.

So, I challenge you all to toss/give away/sell something that fits into this category by Wednesday night.

I'm going to give back a large toy that my sister-in-law lent us last summer. When I say large, I mean LARGE. It's a playhouse type thing. Super-cute, plays music, lights turn on and off, etc. But, we just don't really have a lot of space for it right now. It's stored in the adult tv room because there was no space in the playroom, but we all spend more time there now, because of the Wii. It's in the way, and Matty doesn't really play with it that often.

I'm also going to freecycle a caterpillar ride-on toy that we got at Wal-mart for Matty last summer. It never worked properly and even though the electric part doesn't work, it could still be used as a sit-on, ride-on toy. Matty just isn't interested. We really don't bring a lot of toys into the house, and this just proves the point that they don't need new stuff...they like what they have and don't really play with new stuff anyway.

So, what will you get rid of today?

(OOh, and we also threw out our favorite pasta/popcorn pot this morning. The handle broke off and cannot be repaired - we tried...so, we're using another pot from now on)

I listed a ton of stuff on craigslist today. A foosball table ( we never use it just sits on basement), a little tikes highchair, baby swing, exersaucer, little tikes vanity, baby center, grocery center. If I get rid of those I will be so happy. I priced so low and if i dont sell by weekend I will give away.

We are giving an old computer desk and recliner chair to a friend. He should be picking up this week. Agreed to give to him today.

We are getting rid of a computer desk (tonight) and it's about 5 feet long and 3.5 feet high... it might even be bigger but so glad it's GONE!

So I ended up getting rid of high chair, baby swing, little tykes vanity, little tykes grocery center, and baby center.

I am relisting the fooseball table and exersaucer today. Nothing really big to get rid of besides that this week

I really need to clean the upstairs closet ( like a basement to me) and throw some stuff away!

we freecycled an old dorm fridge that was my DHs older sister's in 88!! we actually moved it to our new house cause DH was gonna use it for beer. but its so old it would probably take more energy than our full sized one to run..........do i promised him he could get one during the back to school sales.
