Hello Purplebutterfly. Welcome to the gardening club. Yes, container gardening certainly does count. We have several gardeners who will be growing in containers this year, myself included. Dive right in and post. Don't forget to add photos of you can.

Absolutely, please add me to the club. I've been gardening for 20 years or so (zone 9) but am having to re-educate myself as I'm in the middle of a move to zone 6. The field grass at the place I'm moving from is 3-4 feet tall right now, and it's just breaking the ground where I'm moving to Talk about a learning curve

Sign me up! I've had a vegetable garden in years past, but this year is a new challenge for me as our new house has no yard, no topsoil, nothing. So, this year will be container gardening for me, and learning about making my yard useful for growing veggies next year.

Welcome Amy, I'm glad you joined us. You might want to read the thread from Michelle about me helping her. There's some links there about no dig gardeing that might help you this year with your vegies.

    Please sign me up too!

I have had a vegetable garden every year except one for the past 22 years. This will be the 3rd year of gardening at our current home. Still working to improve the soil and learning as much about organic gardening as we can.

I want to join too. In fact, I was just coming to this Forum to post that I started seeds tonight. I'm a container gardener in MA - Zone 6. Will make sure that I post some pictures when the time comes.
