Kids Clothes
Mark your calendars for the second weekend in January for next year if you buy kids clothes. This is the second year I bought grandkids clothes for the next year at a fraction of the original price & cheaper than at Goodwill.
I got an $80.00 4 way coat for DGD for $8.00.
Coat for DGS for $7.00
Sweaters original $22.00 were $2.98
Most of the pants & shirts I got were $2.98. two were $4.69. One 4 piece outfit was $9.98.
I didn't get to go until Sunday afternoon, as we were snowed in Saturday, but I still made a haul. These two kids will just need shoes & boots & they are set for next winter, I did the same thing for the coming summer, buying at the end of the season. (I didn't think to put that date in my calendar & I could kick myself.)
I might make one more trip out, as I didn't get a Christmas dress, as I usually do. DGS did get a Christmas sweater.
Most of my deals came from JC Penney, also picked up a few items at Macy's & Old Navy.Last edited by Thrifty Mom; 01-11-2009 at 11:41 PM.

Thats a good haul. Our Old Navy is going out of business and will clothes its doors Jan 31st. I just told our kids so they could go and see if they can find anything and I will go this week to take a look for the grandkids.

I went to Kohl's & Macy's tonight looking for the dress. I had my eye on one, it's at both places. Kohl's didn't have the right size & Macy's is still high. It is still over $25.00, though the tag says it started at $70.00... Kohl's version was $16.00. I could go to the next town & look, or ask them at Kohl's to check other stores. I figured I would check back @ Macy's. They had several in the right size. Once they decide to get rid of them, they should go down farther.
