What do you pay for mayonnaise?
I always buy mayonnaise on sale and usually have back up bottles - but today I needed some to prepare for a pot luck tomorrow and had no backup. Mayo was on sale - usually $7.99, on sale for $5.79!!
This is just wrong...but an indication of where prices are going here.
Price quoted was for a quart size of Best Foods (Hellman's east of the Mississipi)

That's a lot for mayonaise.
I think Aldi's here is around $ 2, maybe just under that.
I don't check the price when I walk by that display because......
My last 4 or 5 quarts of mayo have come from the dollar store.
Yup, $ 1 each. I think I have 2 in my pantry as extras currently.

Wow...
Hellmanns in my area of VA is around $4 a quart. I can almost always get it for $3 on sale though. If I have coupons it is even cheaper than that.

I just last week complained to dh about mayonaise. I had none and needed it . DH and the kids are very very very picky about mayo. One of the few foods they will not eat just any brand of . I have to buy Hellmans. I have tried others and I always end up throwing it away when it expires because no one will eat it. Anyhow, the large 30oz. jar is 4.99 at the Meijers where I shop. I had a coupon but it was still 4 bucks for mayo. I told dh its becoming rich man food.

Publix has a B1G1 sale on Kraft 32 oz containers every few weeks for $4.99. So, I use a $1.00 off or $0.75 off coupon for each, making them between $1.50-$1.75. I try to keep three or four of these on hand at all times.
Mayo is one of those items certain members of the family are picky about which brand we buy. I try to only get Kraft.

$4.48 is the regular price for the 30oz Helmann's here, though they had the bonus size (32 or 36 oz) for a while last fall. I only buy it when it goes on sale, usually 2/$5 but it has been $1.88 on occasion.
Stop trying to organize all of your family’s crap. If organization worked for you, you’d have rocked it by now. It’s time to ditch stuff and de-crapify your world.
If you're not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You're not going to start using it more by shoving it into a closet.

Yesterday, I bought Hellman's/Best Food mayonnaise from Super WalMart for $3.63 I believe. I had not bought mayonnaise in a while and I couldn't believe the price.

Freight is ridiculously expensive to Hawaii - unfortunately. That's why I often come home from the mainland with a suitcase full of food!!
CraftyPam - that would be an interesting topic. I'd put Dreamfield's low carb pasta on the list for such - it's almost $4.00 a box here. I just found it on Amazon for $2.59 a box!!

Maui, does amazon ship to Hawaii for free with their super saver shipping? The reason I ask is that for 75$ a year, you can upgrade to amazon prime and get free 2 day shipping. If the grocery deals are worth it, it may be worth it for you to pay the 75$ a year.
