    Default large soda bottles

well my latest project is saving the large soda bottles. we drink a lot of diet soda so im saving them and after i wash them out with hot soapy water i fill them with water and i put a drop of bleach in each one and store the water in my basement for emergency's like when the water service gets stoped for some reason or the other-last winter our water was off for 2 days due to a frozen and burst main so im just preparing for the worst--ill use and rotate them as i go along like when we go fishing we just take a couple with to have water to drink or if we want to we can just heat some in a pan and make soup or something lol-i never try to wast anything hope you like my tip --hugs fv

Good tip. I was just putting the extra water I collect in bottles to use when the power goes out and I can flush the toilet. Never thought to put bleach in it as I didn't plan to drink it. Do I need to put bleach in it?

you don't really need to treat city water but one drop wont hurt it as i will be storing long term i also use juice jugs and ill put one in the fridge and when i refill it i put it on the shelf and use an older one that i put in the fridge-endless cycle huh

At preschool we also cut the tops off put rocks in the bottom and use them for planters.
