Keep or toss: buttons

I save all mine in a mason jar also. I love Peanut's idea of using the workshop organizer for button organizing, I am going to borrow that idea for my sewing room. Thanks for sharing it Peanut.

I cant find a button that matches my brand new blouse.
I guess I will just have to put all new buttons on.
This is weird I know but when I was a kid I hated buttons, I told me mom they were icky and made me feel gross to touch them.

Anyways, I tried to save them once but my kids gotta hold of them and glued them to sticks so bye bye buttons!

I save them and remove them from items before discarding, seems wasteful not to. They are in my sewing box. (The ones I received from the fv button swap are in there too )

I save them ..I love them!!..they are like little pieces of jewelry!!

I've got 2 cookie tins and a jar I got from my mom when she passed....... love them..........

I save all buttons in an old mason jar. The buttons that jars holds have come in handy more times than I can count.

I keep buttons. There will always be some craft that will need a button or two.

I have a ziploc bag with all those extra buttons that new clothes come with. Every once in a very great while, I'll go through the buttons and throw away any that I know for sure belong to clothes I no longer own. Otherwise, the button collection grows with absolutely no real purpose. I don't sew or anything.

I keep ones that fall of of clothes, but if the item of clothes is gone, the button goes too. Other than that, no I don't keep buttons.
