DD is turning 15! Surprise party on the horizon!

We're having a surprise party for DD next Saturday, 12/20. Her birthday is Christmas Eve, and she'll be 15! Here's what I have planned:

food:
pizza, cake/ice cream, soft drinks

entertainment:
These kids will entertain themselves. They are all athletic, and with the spotlights on the basketball court, they'll start up a b-ball game. (Pray for no rain.) When that gets boring, they'll play "Rock Band" on the Wii. No need to plan anything elaborate.

time: 8-11pm

guests:
DH is in charge of inviting the girls from her softball team, and I've recruited her best friend to invite girls from school. I'm very luck that DD is not "boy crazy." A lot of kids at school are already dating, going with boys in cars, etc. She's a bit immature on that score, and I'm glad.


I can't believe my baby girl is going to be 15!

Update: the party was great. Had a little trouble with DD that day. I was trying to get her to clean her room, but of course I couldn't tell her it was because of a party!LOL She eventually did clean it, but not before I nearly had a breakdown.

Anyway, the party was really cute. She told me over and over, "Thank you, Mama. We really had fun."

The girls played outside on the driveway, sang karaoke, and played Rock Band. They ate, and ate, and ate...

It was a great party.
