Diva's 10th Birthday - Plans and Totals
Diva's 10th Birthday is Monday
but I try not to think about it... I'm still in denial that she is growing up.
We're having a sleepover party Friday... we invited all the girls in her class (a whole 4 of them, but 1 can't go)
Since there are so few girls, I was able to get somewhat creative. I wanted to do some sort of a craft, and a goody bag with fun - but useful things.
Goody Bag - 4.25 each
Large plastic "popcorn box' (will also be used during the night) - $1pp
Design your own mugs (we will do them first) - $1pp
washable markers (used for the mug) $1pp
bag of micro popcorn - .25pp
sidewalk chalk - .25pp
bubbles - .25pp
4 play-dough - .50/pp
Menu - $23.75
Pizza (ex is buying it)
ice cream cupcakes - $4
HM cake - $3
HM choc. chip cookies - $2
veggies & dip - $5
chips, cheese curls, pretzels - $1/bag
juice/soda/water - $1/bottle
air-popped popcorn (free)
pancake mix - $1.25
syrup - $1
1/2 gal. milk - $1.50
Movies - FREE
Fantastic Mr. Fox (previously purchased)
Ella Enchanted - library
Princess Diaries - library
Princess Diaries 2 - library
Decorations - $6
table cloth - $1
cups/plates/napkins/utensils - $1/pack
streamers - $1
There is a ping-pong table, a pool table, a pinball machine and a Wii available too, so I am hoping to get at least a few energy zapping games in before we settle down for the night with the movies.
The total for the 18 hour party is - $46.75
All and all, I am happy with it. The party isn't at my house, so I wanted to supply the 'table things' and make sure I had plenty of snacky foods because I didn't think it was very nice to not only use the Outlaws house for the party, but their dishwasher too - and I know they have ZERO snack foods.

Wow, you did great! That sounds like a really fun party and inexpensive, too!
We just had my dd's 11th birthday party last weekend. We had a Hawaiian Luau party with cheap fun decorations and paper goods I got at Dollar Tree, and .99 cent flower leis from Michael's for all the girls. Dollar Tree has this whole section of Hawaiian Luau stuff right now! I got these cute flower hair clips (3/$1) that matched perfect with the leis. It ended up being 5 girls including dd (2 girls couldn't come). We had Hawaiian music playing, pizza, watermelon, lemonade, homemade cake and ice cream.

You did a great job planning. Your daughter will have a ball. I love planning parties. It is so much fun to see your child interact with their friends. Right now I am planning an 8th grade graduation party. I have a few weeks to go but pretty much know what I am doing. Turquioise blue, silver and white are the colors. I have a tablecloth and am making the decorations. Her school colors are not cute so I let her choose the colors she wanted. Drinks are iced tea, lemonade, water and blue koolaid. Food watermelon, salad, tortellini salad, chicken of some sort, hot dogs, burgers, pickles and cake. Have to add up how much everything is. I have stocked up on everything so I only have to get pickles, tortellini and ground beef. Our pool will be open and the kids can go swimming. We are having family and friends. Can not wait.
