    Default Birthday Party a Success!

Well, birthday party #1 for the weekend was a success. It was Julia's birthday party with her friends from school. We had 8 kids from her class come over.

I made and laminated BINGO boards, with the name JULIA at the top, instead of BINGO. As I called out the numbers, the kids covered up their boards with candy hearts that I got on Valentine's clearance last year for $0.10 a bag (yes, it means the candy was a year old, but it wasn't stale...it was still good...I tested it).

I made cupcakes and we got pizza for them to eat. My mother bought a Disney Princess pinata, and the kids pulled strings off the bottom to get it to open up, which they enjoyed.

Other than that, we basically just let them all play in the playroom. It's really all they wanted to do anyway, so we figured, why fight it?

Julia had a great time, and I think her friends did, too. 2 hours of party and dh and Patrick are now napping, and Julia and I are on my bed, watching a Disney DVD.

Tomorrow, we do it all again. The entire family is coming over for a combined birthday party for Julia and Patrick. Tomorrow, I wear sweatpants.

Aawww sounds like a very good birthday party indeed Amy. Glad it went well and that was a very cute idea for the bingo cards. Hope the party tomorrow is nice and you get to rest up some.
