I need birthday party suggestions for toddlers...

~My son turns 4 on Dec 25 and my daughter turns 2 on Dec 27. I want to have a joint party for them for just my immediate family. I don't need games or prizes or anything. Just a general theme, food and decorating ideas. This is soooooo not my area of creativity. The only idea I have right now is a jungle theme. Set out their cute stuffed animals and make construction paper leaves to hang around the house. It has possibilities. Any tips or ideas?~

A friend of mine had a "farmers" theme. The kids were asked to dress in old jeans and shirts. This was an outdoor party, but she had a bushel of hay layed out on a tarp in her yard, with toys from the dollar store hidden inside. They would play games like musical chairs, and whoever won the game had 30 seconds to go crazy searching through the hay and get as many gifts as they could.

Last year for my DS's 2nd birthday, we had a "Bob the Builder" party. I got yellow plastic hats from the dollar store, and the kids all did fingerpainting, gluing popsicle sticks, and other fun stuff

we have had dora, spider man, and last year my dd did a no theme. jus had family over and enjoyed the time together
