    Default ISO a recipe...

When I was in highscool, one of my teammates brought some amazing crackers to share after a game one night and I've been craving them ever since - yes for 15 years I've been looking (off and on) for this recipe!

I believe she called them Little Maggies (???), she said it was a family secret and we couldn't get the recipe.

The basics were: Peanut butter mixed with powdered sugar (maybe vanilla, too) and spread on saltines - topped with another cracker and then baked....

Has anyone ever heard of a recipe that even slightly resembles this? I'd love to make some....

    Thanks!

There wasn't any chocolate involved, was there? I have a "chocolate crackle" recipe that's a layer of saltines baked with a sugar/butter coating, then topped with chocolate. It's addictive!

Now you have me intrigued... I'm going to have to search some of my favorite recipe sites & see what I can find!

Nope, no chocolate. That's the weird thing - its like all I remember is this peanut butter cracker - but it was sssoo much better than just a peanut butter cracker!!

Hmmm.... no luck searching for you. I did find a recipe that calls for saltine crackers, peanut butter, and WEED though.

Oh Dear - I'm pretty sure THAT wasn't the secret ingredient!

Maybe that's why they were "sooooo goood" Rofl, gave ya the munchies to want more!!

Was it a cracker topped with something? Or more like a cracker enclosed by a coating?

It was like a cracker sandwich. The crackers were a little soft, but still a little crunchy. The peanut butter mixture was inside.

those are two similar ones that I found. Maybe they made the filling and put it between the two crackers then let them set up in the fridge for a little bit?
