    Default Breakfast bar recipes

I'm in search for a few. I know grainlady posted an oatmeal scone that sounds wonderful. I posted a long time ago one of our favorites....

    1 cup peanut butter melted
1 cup of your favorite kind of cereal such as cheerios
    maple syrup(to your taste)

I just melt the peanut butter in a pan(I really don't measure) add maple sryup and blend in cereal of your choice. Just don't add in syrup before the peanut butter is melted because the texture gets funky. Spread it on a cookie sheet and put in fridge and cut later. I'm sure this would work with any nut butters.

I bought the zone bar breakfast bars the other day and the mocha ones were to die for. But I rather make them from scratch.

Anyone have any favorites. My family loves this type of food and it might save the dh from buying donuts every morning.

There is a recipe in the recipe section for Frugal Chew Granola Bars, they are fantastic. I make mine with peanut butter instead of the butter and I love them.

ty love the idea. i myself really dont like peanutbutter,,yuck. but my kids do. i know this isnt a breakfast one but...u can make rice crispies but use any other cereal or add the left over bits of several cereals and make a bar that way. its all in what u put in it. theres my 2 cents.

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Thank you for doing that. They sound really good. Silly me always forgets to check the cookbook forum.

I need to add some recipes there myself.

recipezaar has a recipe for "almost nutri-grain bars" they are REALLY good. I never have strawberry jam but bought some just to make these once because I love strawberry cereal bars.
