    Default Oatmeal Cookies (soft)

    Oatmeal Cookies (soft)

    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 cups raisins
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup butter
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup sugar
    2 1/2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    2 cups quick oats
    3/4 cup chopped pecans

    Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla; let stand covered 1 hour with plastic wrap. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugars. Add flour, salt, cinnamon and soda to sugar mixture. Mix well. Blend in egg mixture, oats and nuts. Dough will be stiff. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Note: Secret is soaking of raisins in egg mixture.

    I've copied your recipe to one of my Microsoft Works recipe file cards...I'll probably be making them next Tuesday and I'll let you know how they turn out.
