Do you like nuts, chopped apples, dried cranberries? What do you add to make your green salads special?

radishes, green onion, grated carrot, red pepper diced up, cucumber if we have it. My mum used to add tomatoe but it makes it wet and mushy so I don't.

I like my homemade salad dressing:
squeeze a lemon into a cup
add a bit of sugar, not a lot and mix till dissolved. It will be about 1/3 cup now.
add a crushed clove of garlic or not depending on which way you want to go that day.
add about 2/3 cup more in mayo and mix well.

Let it sit till supper (at least an hour) and give it another stir and drizzle on the green salad.

    MMMMMMM yummy.

But don't do it on the whole salad if ther's leftovers cause this makes it wilt after an hour or so.

Make it with lime juice and sugar, and garlic and mayo for another equally fine dressing.

depends on the type of salad that I'm eating--my favorite salad is strawberry spinach.

On a typical green dinner salad, I like tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, red & yellow bell peppers, HB eggs, croutons (though I don't eat those any more). Sometimes red onion--love the flavor, but I don't like to taste them all night.

I love salads that are meals. I like to load them up with tons of stuff. lol

I love them with bacon bits, shredded cheese, hard boiled eggs, sunflower seeds, croutons, chick peas, cucumber, shredded carrots, tomatoes, radishes, cauliflower. Yummmmmmy.

I don't like onions or peppers on my salads though and raw mushrooms are a stretch for me. (although I love all these things cooked)

Now I want a big huge salad loaded with everything.

    Lots of nuts/seeds

    Banana Peppers

Plus all the above you guys mentioned. I love salads that are a meal all by themselves.
