I serve this with a salad & garlic bread. Cheap, quick, easy and tasty. I usually double the recipe to have leftovers for lunch. My kids have always enjoyed this dish.
TOMATOED MACARONI
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves
8 oz. uncooked elbow macaroni
Grated Parmesan cheese
Cook macaroni as directed. While macaoni is cooking~Heat tomatoes with liquid (can squish the tomatoes a bit), butter, teaspoon salt, and the oregano to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 10 to 12 minutes. Arrange in serving dish, pour sauce on hot macaroni. Serve with parmesian cheese.
Potato soup done in the crockpot. I calculated it out one time to something like $.68 for the entire meal.
