    Default Chewy Granola Bars

This has peanut butter, so not good for those with allergies, but there are other recipes on this site, or you can just amend this one. Maybe use some other "butter", like Tahini?

Anyway, I love chewy granola bars, but they are so expensive! $2.59 for only 6! I eat them instead of candy bars. Still, a lot of sugar, but the healthy stuff outweighs the bad, I think

Store-bought granola bars can be just as unhealthy as candy bars, depending on the type. Ones with tons of high fructose corn syrup and no fiber offer nothing that a candy bar doesn't.

These look pretty good though! I've wanted to make my own. I will try these, minus the chocolate chips.

Thanks for sharing...these sound so good and so economical. My DF love PB and especially the Choc. Chips!

DH likes to eat one each morning with his coffee. Says it keep him regular, LOL. Anyhoo, they quit making the kind he likes, plus they were $3 for a box of 6, so I will check out this sight to see if they have a recipe for something he would like. The one's he liked had cranberries in them. I've tried other brands with cranberries and he said they are too dry. Thanks, will check it out.
