~Do you have a chili seasoning packet? If not, do you have chili powder, cumin, garlic powder and paprika?~

My fav taco seasoning
makes 1 "pkt"
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
Combine and store in an air-tight container.
Notes: To make taco meat, brown 1 lb ground beef in skillet; drain.
Add seasoning mix and 3/4 cup of water.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat.
Simmer uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5 T of mix = 1 pkt

I normally don't like to use the packets because they have all that MSG/sodium and crap in them.
Sometimes I'll make homemade (recipe already on this post) and sometimes I just season the meat with salt, pepper, garlic and add some jarred salsa. It will have the little bits of tomato, onion, green pepper, jalapeno and cilantro. I really think I like it best this way, roomies don't, but I do.

Me too. I've only used the packaged stuff once - before I read the package.
