Default Help me "tweak" a recipe idea!

Looking at my pantry/freezer/fridge, these things jumped out at me

~turkey sausage link (hillshire farms type)
    ~egg noodles
    ~sour cream

I'm thinking this could be the start of a pretty yummy supper. I have searched on all my fav. recipe site, but I cannot find a recipe, so here's what I'm thinking so far:
cut up sausage and cook. boil noodles. Add sour cream and maybe some garlic to sausage. Add noodles and maybe some peas.
What else? Crm of mushroom soup? more spices?

YankeeMom, feel free to jump in here and give me a great idea!!!!

    thanks ladies!!

What about a bechamel sauce with some sour cream in it. You can dice up the sausages and throw them in the sauce. Serve it over the noodles.

I definitely would add the mushroom soup, as it will 'soften' the sour cream into a nice sauce. Sounds good!

(but if I put peas in it, dh would have kittens) I'd have to make a different veg on the side.

I would spice the sausage up a bit to complement the cream sause. Sounds yummy!

I know I'm a day late and a dollar short on this reply but this posting reminded me of a recipe I saw recently in a 'goodwill purchase' fundraising cookbook I recently got. I have posted the original recipe but I really don't know why you couldn't use the turkey sausage instead. I have not tried this recipe yet, but if anyone is 'daring' please post how it came out.

    Husband's Delight

    1 lb. ground beef
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    Pepper to taste
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 cans tomato sauce
3 green onions, chopped (tops and bottoms)
1 pkg (5 oz) small noodles
1 pkg (3 oz). cream cheese
    1 cup sour cream
    1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef and drain. Add garlic, salt, pepper, sugar and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Cook noodles and drain. Mix onions with cream cheese and sour cream. Grease baking dish lightly. Layer of noodles first, then cream cheese/sour cream mixture, then meat sauce. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or till bubbly.
Note: Best mixed the day before.
