2-3 times a week. Depending on whose living with us at the time.

OH! I feel for you people with families at home.

With just me...well, and my two dogs...I wash...sometimes once a week....usually two loads. Sometimes three depending on what colors I have worn....wash whites, light colored, and dark colored. In summer I have more whites as I garden in white t-shirts and don't want them in with my sheets/towels. Then again this can vary depending on what the dogs have gotten into....they are kenneled at night so if I get the 'present' of a pukey blanket well then it becomes just like having kids...thus more wash to do..UGH!

I am on a real washing 'kick' now as I am doing rugs and blankets. Sort of my 'spring cleaning' thing.....I can just hear the "ka-ching ka-ching ka-ching" of the power meter going. I could choke when I get my next utility bill!

A load a day, although lately it's been 3 or 4 as I was way behind. 3 loads a week less then a year ago when I had 2 in cloth diapers. Expecting the amount to decrease significantly again now that my oldest isn't here, as about 50% of it was hers. Hard to tell yet, as I only got through the pile she left behind yesterday.

I usually wash twice a week to spread it out from having to do it all on the weekend. It's just me so I don't go through a ton of loads a week.

I do one load per day. If I miss a day then I have two loads the following day. I do this so I don't get behind and I hang them on the line.

I empty the hampers on Wednesdays & Sundays. Wednesday's usually takes me two days to get it all done (3-4 loads). Sunday's I can get done in one day (1-3 loads). Whenever I have a free day is when I do the bedding and that's a hella lotta laundry with 1 queen bed, 2 full beds, and 2 twin beds

For some reason, I get the laundry done quicker when I'm able to hang it out to dry. Probably because I don't have to wait on the dryer, my lines can hold 2-3 loads at a time.

I do laundry too much!! LOL...At least one load a day..But I have a small portable washing machine, that doesn't fit that much clothing in it...so one normal load for most people is 3-4 loads for my little washing machine!

It is just hubby and me and two dogs that shed like crazy. I generally wash 4 loads a week - 1 dark (hubby's uniforms, dark socks and t-shirts, jeans), 1 light (socks, underwear, shorts, shirts), 1 load of sheets and towels (I don't use paper towels so I throw all dish towels and napkins in with bath towels and sheets), 1 load of throw rugs and dog bed covers.

every single day. ugh. i hate laundry, it's never ending. my son has ts and has a tic with clothing and showers. he'll shower 2-3x's a day and change his clothing. always new clothes, new towels. could be worse though, i have a relative that her family refuses to shower, or shall i say shower more often than once or two weeks, eewww, it's just awful, i'll take my son's need to be really clean any day over that.

Two adults. We use our bath towels for a week and also re-wear as much outer clothing as possible and only toss it in the wash when it's dirty. People wear out more clothes by washing and drying in a clothes dryer, as they do wearing them. I do as many loads as will fit on my indoor or outdoor clotheslines:

Tuesday night (while I watch TV or read a book)-
1 hot water load - whites/lights (includes washcloths and hand towels)
    1 load darks/medium colored clothes
1 hot water load - of kitchen towels (a week's worth)

    Saturday morning-
    1 load - includes sheets/pillowcases, 2 bath towels and a tub mat

    Saturday night-
    1 load whites/lights
    1 load darks/medium colors

If I hang clothes outside, I still wash them at night and load them into the laundry basket and hang them outside the next morning, although I rarely hang clothing outside now that I have lines in the basement. No more: sun-bleached clothes, freezing fingers in cold weather, bird poo, bugs and wasps hidden in a pants leg, wind whipping things to death, unexpected rain showers...

Everything that is normally hung on a hanger is also dried on a hanger so they go directly from the clothesline to the closet. I flat-fold like-kinds of things together (all the wash clothes, hand towels, my undies, hubby's undies, etc....) and stack them wet in the laundry basket.

Because I hang like-things together, I take them off the line together, fold them as I take them off the line and place them in the basket - which means I only have to handle them once. It only takes a few minutes to remove and fold, and then I can quickly put them away because they are already folded and stacked. I have a table in the drying room in the basement for folding, and hubby made me a bench for this outside by the clothesline.
