Seems like as soon as I walk in the door from work I start laundry, when I go to bed the dryer is still going. There are 5 of us and we go through a lot of clothes, towels etc... Weekends are more though cause I do bedding plus regular laundry.

Every day; unfortunately! I do not necessarily hate laundry it is putting it away and getting the kids to put their's away without finding its way back into dirty laundry.....

I do about 2 loads twice a week. My fiancee and I are trying to cut back on this by wearing our jeans more than once. As long as I don't get grease from the machines on mine, I try to wear them 3 times before I wash them. My fiancee has a little more to watch out for. He has to make sure he doesn't get battery acid on his. Here's how I keep track of how many times I have worn a pair of jeans.
First time I fold all clean jeans in 1/2, and then in 1/2 again.
Second time I button the button or zip the zipper.
Third time I roll them up from the bottom up.

Almost every day, and I pay for it the next day if I miss one. I have 2 preteens that are on the soccer field at least 5 times a week along with a husband that does physical labor (think being in someones attic fixing the AC in the middle of summer) and I've gone back to excersizing routinely. The stinky stuff just can't sit.

One to two loads every other day. I hate laundry to pile up and we don't have enough clothes to let it pile up!

Wow...I feel SO much better.
I'm not a freak~LOL~!
I wash 2-3 loads a day usually...even with oldest son washing his own, I still do his towels. In the summer, I try to hang stuff on the line AND there are a lot less clothes. One of many reasons I love summer.
We have a well, so I can't do it all in one day. I have a girlfriend who does laundry only on Sunday. I'd run the well dry if I did That~!
Funny you mention laundry. If anyone's interested..read my blog about my latest washing woes.

WHEN THE SPIRIT (or lack of clean clothes/towels/bedding) MOVES ME!!
Actually, I tend to launder when it is sunny, slightly breezy, and not humid.......so I can hang it out. Oh--and not too buggy, either. Ewwww.........

I try to wash the dirty clothes on Saturday and/or Sunday and fold & put away on Monday. ...At least that's always the plan.

Part of my morning routine is to check and see what loads need to be washed. Generally at least one or two loads.
Today as a load of darks and a load of whites. I also took the bath towels (that I washed yesterday) out of the drier and folded them.
Tomorrow will be probably be a load of underwear and misc. towels. maybe a load of sheets/blankets.
I use to be able to have certain days that I washed. I would call these days movie days. Like a day off, sort of -- no other house cleaning allowed but the laundry and I would watch movies will I folded and waited for the next load to get done.
Doesn't work that way anymore. I wonder why?Last edited by imagine; 06-15-2009 at 06:50 PM.

There's only the 3 of us, so maybe 3 loads a week, sometimes 4. I try to rewear my clothes if they're not dirty. I have 3 baskets near my washer. When one is full enough for a full load, then I wash it.

I have a large family - 6 kids, 3 grands. There are only 4 kids in the house full time, but the older two come over to use the washer/dryer. So, to keep everything running, I am doing laundry every day though sometimes it is only one complete load.

I don't know anymore because I only do my own and bedding. Switched back to wearing anything I can twice. (nightwear, jeans, sweaters). My DH and Teen kids are responible for their own. My DH works at home so he can flip loads at "work". I personally do 2 loads plus bedding every other week.
I would say they wash once a week,2 loads each. So I guess 8 loads plus bedding/towels. This goes down in summer.
