Colleen, when we got our passport cards last year, the office where we applied took our pictures for a $10 fee (each). It seemed like a bargain because we didn't have to go anywhere else or wait or wonder if the pictures were going to be right. If that's workable for your purposes, you might want to call and see if they offer that where you'll be applying.

Here, if we don't like our driver's license pics or passport pics, they'll re-take them immediately. Small town, so usually they have the time. I'm sure it's different in a busier place.

Dang, I love living in a small town!

I can honestly say this is not a problem for me. Wish a few of my photos DID look like glamour shots!

    Managed to spin some today.

Went to the library and checked out books on art/rug hooking/magazines.

Went to the gym and did a brisk walk for half an hour.

Back on track with my diet.

Did daily devotions and weekly Bible study.

Listened to more of "Heart of Revival". Still not sure what I'm supposed to get out of it. Oh well, he's a good speaker. Just I am not hearing anything terribly practical out of all this yet.

Checking out rug hooking online magazines/websites. Debating whether I want to sign up for an online magazine.

Did my journaling yesterday. Walked just over 10,000 steps. Not much else done in the way of wishes. Still working on school work.

In other news my dog went in to the vet yesterday to have a cyst removed from her tail. It was a big cyst that appeared rather suddenly. The vet drained it out, and she is scheduled for surgery in two weeks to fully remove the growth. But it means she has a sore on her tail that must be covered by a bandage. My problem is not that she chews it off, but that when she wags her tail the bandage just flies right off the end of her tail! So we have to keep putting new ones on. Oh well, it's only for the next month.

Poor doggy, but at least she's still wagging! Hope the surgery goes well. She probably won't need a bandage for a whole month. Skin heals quicker than that.

Cedar, my dog just had surgery as well, to remove a lipoma! Good luck with yours, and I hope she recovers as quickly as mine did!

    What I got done today...

    2. Make something for sale each week. - Started knitting a hat. Spinning yarn.

    5. Improve my spiritual life through monthly retreats, daily prayer time and weekly Bible study. - Attended a Bible study at church on spiritual disciplines.

    8. Improve health by losing 34 lbs. - Going the wrong direction. Cheated the last two days on my diet and watched my weight go up 1.4 lbs. Back on track after talking to ND.

    9. Eat healthy - See above.

    11. Do affirmations daily. - Done

    12. Keep a balanced budget for my allowance. - So far so good.

    14. Continue fibre arts education. Focus on rug hooking. - Subscribed to an online rug hooking magazine for almost 1/4 the price of the real live in the mail thing. Less paper clutter too.

    15. Build a network of creative people. - Connecting with creative folks today.

    16. Acquire teacher training to teach workshops. - This is shaping up. I teach at English Corner once this spring. I teach ESL students how to cook Canadian food. I teach some Korean students twice next week. We'll decide what when I meet them and assess their English abilities. And I've been asked to do a devotion for a group of church women in March. Hmm...should give me a bit of experience.

    1. Start writing in my journal at least once per month. 0/12

    2. Paint my “woman cave” a cheerful, warm, color. (Idea’s anyone?)

    3. Start the rest of the grandkids photo albums and put their pictures in them.

    4. Read a book every month, even if it’s a re-read. (more than 1/2 way done . I'm reading "Repacking Your Bags How to Live with a New Sense of Purpose". Very interesting and insightful)

    5. Get wedding rings re-sized.

    6. Connect with two of my very good friends at least two times each month. J--1/24, L--1/24

    7. Update my website. DONE 1/22/2012

    8. Get a new handrail up in stairway going upstairs.

    9. Refund BEF---$3,000. I do $3,000 since most mini-emergencies can run upwards of $1,000 (engine as an example was $1,228.)

    10. Go camping at least two times this summer for 7 days each time.

    11. Swim more this summer. Started swimming again last summer and it reminded me how much I have always enjoyed swimming.

    12. Purchase a headstone for my baby brother’s grave.

    13. Do something with just my daughter at least once a month.

    14. Do something special with my youngest son at least once a month.

Well I added #14 to my list...for some reason I am having a very difficult time coming up with 20 wishes LOL...who would of thought. I think part of it is I am pretty content with my life. The things that I really wish for can't possibly happen. I'd give almost anything if my mom were alive and I could have a cup of coffee with her just one more time. I'm sure I'll think of something eventually....
