Arrow Care to join me? craft supply challenge

I'm in the middle of reorganizing my paper craft area. I wasn't surprised at the amount of supplies I have, but, seeing them all organized and easy to find makes it very obvious that I have PLENTY of supplies to last me for a long while. I've been on a streak lately with spending $1-2 here and there, and doing lots of craft swaps, so I feel justified... but those $$ are adding up financially and space-wise.

I am challenging myself to not buy any more paper crafting supplies until at least half of my current stash is used up. I am making one exception: adhesive. That's quickly consumed and very important.

Anyone else care to join me? (You may make your own limited exceptions based on the craft you do.)

I'm so with you!!! I'm getting ready to launch a craft blog and one of my early posts is gonna be on scrapbook supply organization. I was shocked when I went through my stuff while working on the article. It was crazy. I'm only buying essentials now too. (adhesive, plain cardstock, albums)

Great idea. Mine is not to buy any more wool or fabric at least until 1/2 is used up. Also, no more buying of sewing patterns!

How are you all doing on your challenges?

I edited my siggy to confess that after 20 days, I caved and bought a few little things. I had to go to a craft store to get something to finish my sister's birthday gift, and while there I picked up a couple of small items- less than $10. Then, today, had to go to another craft store for work (really! LOL) and I picked up a couple of Michael's $1 stamps.... but in my defense, those are in very limited supply and go very quickly when new ones come out.

OK, so there's my confession. Anyone else? Or are the rest of you sticking to your plan better than I am?

I'm so in on this......I made my last purchase on 3/29. I know this because the bag is still sitting untouched on my SB table.....all 57.00 of it!!
I will need adhesive pretty soon, oh, and CM is changing their album/pages sizes, and before I quit CM, I bought 16 albums and pages, and protectors.....and I am going to be some protectors short, so I will need to buy them (at cost from a friend), but seriously.... I need no supplies, no paper, no stickers, no embelishments....no NOTHING.
(cept the adhesive and planned page protectors)

we need to have scrapbookers supplies anonnomys.....

    OOOOH!
    I need this!!!

I keep "saying" I'm not buying more until I use up some of what i have.

It's not working... so if i say it publicly LOL then I'll have to do it!

I've gotta lot of "big" projects I want to do, but dont have the stuff for it.
I'm waiting on sales or when I run into a great deal on something I want.

So, I'll think of ideas to use up what I've got... and when my craft drawers start getting empty... YEEHAW!!!
    LOL

    I'm In!

I hit Hobby Lobby Wednesday... and ONLY bought adhesives... they were 50% off and I bought enough to last a few months.... I shouldn't even have to step foot in the store til August/September.... resisting any temptation at all... LOL

I'm in on this one too.
After just setting up my spare room as a scrapbook/craft room, I was shocked at the amount of supplies I had forgotten about, let alone, knew about.
    Just adhesive, I promise!
