Extreme Cheapskates anyone?
I've been joking to my friends that yes I'm looking forward to this show and although I don't think I can qualify to be on it I'll be taking notes while I watch it! TLC on Tuesday coming up, anyone else looking forward to it?

I will be watching just because I am intrigued what some people will do.
The Tightwad Gazette lady was very popular and she lives in Maine. She lost me when she said to use the dryer lint to stuff pillows and a couple other things that I would not write on here.
I line dry a lot in the house. I live in the woods so between allergies, bugs, worms that hang from trees, and bird poop.(sea gulls) I use my dryer but would not stuff a pillow with lint!

What does peeing in a bottle have to do with the power being out? I've never seen or heard of this show y'all are talking about.

Those of us who live in the country are on wells and septic systems. Without power, we do not usually have power for the water pump to get fresh water out of our well, and we don't have power for the pump to pump the flushed water into the tank and, in our case, up a hill into the drain field.

Dryer lint stuff in an empty toilet paper tube is the best fire starter.

I use to like TLC shows but my respect for them has gone down hill over the past year or two. I may check it out but I am afraid of how these people will be portrayed. While I consider myself "frugal" I don't know that I would want myself displayed in the light that TLC may display these people. I am curious though if they looked for people that saved the largest percentage of their budget, had the lowest cost in a certain area, or did they just look for people that had an extreme practice or two that TLC believed would get the most "eeeeww" or "no way" reaction. I guess I'll have to watch at least one to see.

As TLC has become the WTF? channel, I would say they will go for the "eewwww"...

I may watch if I can remember it's on. I just look at it as entertainment. I think most of these are staged to a large degree anyway just FOR the "ewwww" factor.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I saw the preview...what's with the peeing in a bottle? To save water? Why did she ask someone else to pee in it too? Ugh.
