Beverly Lewis
I've just discovered Beverly Lewis' books. To discover a new author is like getting a wonderful Christmas present!! I inhaled The Covenant and The Betrayal and am currently listening to The Sacrifice on tape. What a wonderful writer; I feel like I just sit in their house listening to them talk. Has anyone else read her books?

Many of us have read her books here and if you do a search here you'll find we did a couple book clubs on her books.
Here is her website:

I have all of her books. My mom bought and let me read them. When she (mom) passed away, my sister gave all of them to me.
I love her writing, and I love learning about the Amish.

I couldn't wait for the library to get The Prodigal for me, so I went and bought it this morning. How on earth am I going to wait until June for The Redemption ?
(Patience is not my strong suit....LOL)

I've been waiting patiently for it since The Prodigal came out (going on a few months now). Lewis's books always getting better with each book she writes in a series so I can't wait to find out what happens to Leah especially.

BTW, here is what it says about the last book.
Jonas Mast’s return from Apple Creek, Ohio has given Leah Ebersol reason to hope again. Yet she endures an unexplained silence that makes her fear Peter Mast and stern Bishop Bontrager are conspiring to once again keep her and Jonas apart.
Impulsive Jake Mast pines for his first love. But if he follows his brother Jonas back home to Gobbler’s Knob, Leah and Sadie will be forced to reveal their closely guarded secret--a secret with the power to split the Mast and Ebersol families even further apart, maybe forever...

I love books on the Amish. Which one do you think I should start with that Ms. Lewis wrote?

Shell, take a look at her website. She has a couple of series so you would want to start with the first book in a series. I would pick the first one in the series Abram's Daughters.
I have found with her writing that each book in a series gets better. Sometimes the first book is slow, but she has a gift for leaving you wanting the next book and the next book. Thats why were all on our edges waiting for the last book in this series.
