    Default FrugalVillage Book Club

Gather around for the Frugal Village's first selected book for discussion.

First off, if you plan to be an active member in the book club, please post a reply here. Each book club member will be receiving a book club image for their award case. This does not mean you have to participate in every book selection in the future, but if you miss two selections, you will be asked to either participate or step out of the book club. Being a participant gives you a chance to choose a book for discussion which will be on a rotating basis between club members.

Discussions will be held on the forums as well as in scheduled chats, so always look for the schedules. Books will be selected every other month, unless we feel we can squeeze a good discussion in sooner.

Book club members will be asked to have a few questions and/or personal opinions (original posts or discussion subjects) on the book, so be prepared during discussions. Forum and chat discussions are open to everyone though, of course. (whether you have read the selected book or not)

No pressure, if you did not get a chance to read the chapters, don't give up. I am sure the discussions will be open enough for you to join in regardless. This is for fun afterall.

Is it possible to join the book club at another time? October is not a good month for me plus Frugal Luxuries is not one of my fave books and I would not look forward to reading it again.

Kahana, you can join in at any time.

I'm in of course and I love the book. Can't wait until Oct. 1 to get the bookclub started.

Come on ladies, give it a chance.

I'm in! I love to read! I just don't think I can make it to the chats. I am in Germany and our time is so different than yours. Is that ok?
